New Portifino M what is FCAM - Advanced Front Driving Camera
I just brought home a new Portofino M this past week. He will explain to me what does FCAM stand for?
Is there supposed to be a front camera because I do not see a front camera? Is there supposed to be a front camera showing on my display or did the factory miss ?
Can anyone help explain this? My 3rd white Ferrari . My first white Ferrari was the first white Herrair Algagr ever built in 2008. A white manual 430 Spyder. By the way, anyone is a good for a salesman go to Algar Ferrari and Philadelphia and look up Patrick Podgorski. He's a great guy. How do you see from the picture? It looks like there's a lot of cameras on the front of this car in the grill and on the bumper.

The front driving camera is the one in the mirror housing, looking through the windshield… helps to avoid crashes and will apply brakes if it thinks it needs to. Like Mercedes distronic — the other type of camera is an actual large camera mounted in the front bumper and I believe that’s a track telemetry camera— and then of course, there are the front parking cameras/sensors as well which are just tiny little eye cameras.

Curious, with all the cameras around the car, do you have a 360 view on the screen?

Only if you have the 360 camera option— which on the F8 are these huge protrusions out the bottom of your rear view mirrors.

    Thanks for the answer.

No 360 in my 2013 Cali30, it does not bother me. But my wife loves a 360 view as it makes it so easy to know exactly how the car is moving/parking. She has it in her Cadillac and previously in the Maserati, and told me to make sure I have it when the time comes to trade the Cali30 for another F in a few years

Advanced Front Driving Camera (FCAM) is for your lane departure warning and if I am not mistaken it is now standard on most models. It isn't actually a camera you can see via your infotainment system. Surround Camera (SURR) would be the 360 camera that will show up on your center display

As mentioned, SURR (Surround Camera) gives you the full view. From my wife's PFM:

On our PFM, ACC1 is adaptive cruise control. Works amazingly well.

K no worries. I was just wondering what the radar options were. I don’t have it on mine so don’t really care I guess. I’ll buy an aftermarket radar possibly anyway.
