So I have been meaning to get better pics after we found and refinished these HRE's.... I think the car looks great with this "old" wheel! Thanks. 19" front, 20" rear. 325 rear tires. I would have to dig into the records to see more specifics on offset and widths. Its been 2 years since we did this at this point! Pics severely delayed - I blame COVID!
Here are the wheels when I first got them (from a FChat member). Black with Polished lip. Not our style so much, so I had them re-finished with a satin coated brushed lip and a metallic (to pull some of the silver from the Titanio paint into the wheels) grey center. Looks great. Tell us about the side markers... Are they still functional behind that grey paint? They certainly add to the discrete look, which could be completed if the prancing horse wheel centres were also finished in the same grey.
Thanks! They are painted and functional underneath. Dim, but still technically compliant. I hate the yellow and red refectors and in a previous life, we sold the painted ones for all Benz, BMW and Ferrari. We actually pioneered that product line that so many others now offer. Trend-setter I guess. We were the first to sell them. I would never go back. Looks so much better! On other cars of ours we paint them or replace them with clear or smoked LED ones, but no such thing exists for this car. So paint is the best option. You are correct about Grey center caps. I am now going to go look for some! lol 3 piece HRE. You can see in this pic the center and the outer barrel. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari made silver center caps. Seems like I have a set laying around that I planned on painting the Cavallino background in Giallo Modena. Have not gotten around to it yet. Mine are the ones with separate Cavallino, but the one piece set (pewter?) would look good with gray wheels. Or get ones like I have and paint the background gray. Image Unavailable, Please Login
