I broke a latch last week while putting the top up. Got 2 new latches from Ron yesterday and made the swap in about an hour. They work great. Highly recommended. MIKE

We finally got around to ordering new sliders from Gianluca recently, they arrived this week, and they are great. Both Ron’s latches (the “u” part), which we bought after Mondipalooza, and Gianluca’s sliders are very well done, and they are made of steel alloy, far better than the originals, which were made out of crappy, brittle, stuff. They look and work great together, I recommend both of them highly.

I can ship anywhere. I'm currently in Shanghai and won't be home for a week. I could send them then.
I'll send you a private message.

    Hi Everyone,

Gotta give Ron made props for making the roof latch arms for Mondials' terrible designed originals. I got a pair from Ron's original run and they are great.
I recently lost a pin and clip on my ride to the FCar 60th Anni in Beverly Hills. When I contacted Ron he had one day BTW his work schedule, (jet setting, joking).
He found the time to set me up with a replacement, faster than anyone I've ever had to get a part from.
I don't think he had time to eat from the time he landed kicked me out a replacement then was gone again.
For anyone thinking twice about getting a set, don't. Just do it.

    Thanks

    Ron,
Thanks again for all the help with the latches. They seem like a huge improvement on durability. We have missed a few events this year due to threat of rain as we had no way of driving with the roof up. Props! and can't wait to get my hands on a set of your pillars too.

The toggles are $85.00 each and I'm not sure about fast shipping to Germany......
I can see tomorrow if you like. I can go to the post office for a quote.

I would expect it will be about $15.00 U.S for a delivery time of about five days. but I might be wrong.

I can tell you that every time I have sole one, I soon get anorder for the second as they seem to fail together.

    I'm happy to help.

    Robert,
The price per toggle is $85.00 and shipping is about $3.00 typically to anywhere in the U.S.
    Total is $173.00.
It is a good idea to do them both at the same time as the originals seem to break around the same time.

Only you can determine if the price is fair.
As a point of consideration, as an alternative you can try to make them your self or you could try to find a new old stock or used latch assembly which wil cost about $300.00 on average and the toggles will only break again. My toggles will not break.

I just made some more and I'm more than happy to send them to you.

    Thanks!

No, we just trade Youngtimer and collector cars like Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborhini, Porsche and Racecars :)
The material comes from a BMW exhaust bracket :-D
Just cut out what I need, bend and the rest grinded with a hand airpressure tool :)
At the end drilled with a battery drill :)

Just goes to show you can make anything if you have the materials, tools and most importantly skill and time.

But at 3 hours each, Ron's for $85 per side seem like a good deal.

Okay, I searched 45 minutes for material...2:15h for my first Prototype is not so bad :)

If I make it how Ferrari does, I can do it in 15 Minutes ;)
