FPPM has a bunch of red F1 cars coming in 1/24th scale, all never done in 1/24th or 1/20th scale before.....The FPPM 1/24th Porsche 550 Spyder will be done in several versions from 1953-1955 Lemans, Targa Florio and Pan Americana....I hope no one tries to duplicate these as they had many years to do the cars before someone else did them... Time to realize the market is too small for duplication in resin kits!!!!

So small that Renaissance Models seems to have gone out. Not many modelers can ask prices as low as Fernando Pinto and Paulo Enrique Souza.

Another photo of the Hiro 1/12th Ferrari 512BBLM motor plans. They will do 4 versions so far.

Fernando Pinto of FPPM was talking about some of the projects he is doing over the next year and let me tell you, he has some great F1 and sportscars coming. If you like vintage Italian cars you will be very happy!!

I am sure he will throw in a few land speed record, vintage F1 and Porsche's/Jaguar's ect. for good measure.

    That's a surprise.

I discussed a 500 with FP, that was far more successful than the 625.

246, 375, 156, and the 158 are great. Later cars to come?? Some 250F's were red too :)

Such nice kits. Need a 340 Mexico coupe and spider, all in time I hope.

Bluebird boat would be fun, but I'll take the Bluebird.

One more photo of the Lancia Ferrari 1956 French GP D50 "aero" body and the real thing....I hope he also does the Maserati 250F Italian GP 1955 "aero" body someday....

340 Mexico's would be nice as only ABC made them in 1/24th and they are very rare kits. The 500's were already done by Hiro in 1/24th and 1/20th. Those are very nice but expensive and out of production and now rare kits so maybe he will do them. He seems to like every champion F1 car along with Lemans winners, record cars and oddball interesting European race cars that look interesting. I would like a proper W196 "aero body" and normal body kit also, but he is busy now with many vintage "red" cars along with many other projects...He reminds me of Guido from Scale Kraft, only better in a lot of ways.

Another update on the Maserati 300S 1/24th scale kit from Fein Design coming soon. Also top quality stuff.

"He reminds me of Guido from Scale Kraft, only better in a lot of ways." I had to smile when I read that as I had exactly the same thought. For those who did not know Guido he was from South Africa and had an amazing range of resin kits until he had a serious accident mountain climbing in the Alps I believe.

Fernando is great guy. His kit range is like Guido's, wide and obscure, with LSR's.
His castings reminded me of Paul Fisher's, but have evolved into much more detail.

Still pretty easy to build, great castings, and wonderfully overlooked cars. D50 Streamliner never expected, his 54 LM 375 was so needed, as was the 156, 246. MFH stuff is awesome, but not nearly as "fall together" as Fernando's.

Price point great too. Paid far more for less. If Andy Martin keeps doing a Duesy once in awhile, and a few other Guido subjects dribble out, it's a good thing. What happened to Guido's molds, etc.?

BTW Gary, admired your work for many years. The C and D-types, and some of the "suboptimal" stuff you've wrestled into a great replica have been wonderful to see. If I spent less time goofing around here, and more time at the bench, I'd still not come close. Thanks for inspiration though.

Luigi Chinetti's Alfa Romeo 8C Le Mans Brianza chassis winner 1934 in 1/24th coming from FPPM soon. Will go with the 1931-32-33 Alfa 8C Lemans winners already done. This is the best looking Lemans winning Alfa I think.
