Sound is the main problem, there is no sound . Car is very complicated, it s very difficult losing weight
Regarding weight, does it have the same aluminuim architecture like the SF90 or does it feature more carbon fibre?
Frankly, I couldn’t care less how good it looks if it ends up sounding like ****. Starting to look more and more like the launch of the 812 VS will be the last Ferrari that I’m genuinely excited for. That is, unless they can somehow find a way to keep the NA V12 in a series production car moving forward. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Really ?? They are in the same locations Pointing out they are NOT the NEW ROUND , F8,812 etc more like the 488 GTB
The world has changed since the covid 19. Lots of things that were to happen haven't or they have been delayed. Its approaching end of June and Pista's are still being sent and will continue for months. F8's are only now starting to move. Gee our dealer hasn't even received their demo cars ! Add to that the F8 Spider. Sure LB might be shown in first quarter 2021 and reportedly production last quarter but the situation is exactly like the PISTA / F8. I would bet that the F8 will be available all 2021. Spiders still into 2022. A speciale version to be sold along with the F8 Spider and then ultimately a F8 Spider Speciale. Then the LB seeing deliveries. The F8 is the last non electric V8 IT WILL BE MILKED. The covid 19 in a way has made this scenario actually plausible. They will do it. Especially because of the reaction of the SF90.
Its been made very clear there will be no F8 special. LB will look better than SF90 which realistically wouldnt be hard to do. Going by the pic LB occupies the same body shell as 488 save for a few powder puff changes. I guess Ferrari came to the logical conclusion there is no point in changing an existing body if the design team is unable to improve on it - so better to work with it than work on fixing SF 90’s polarising look which doesnt look easily fixable. In the vid I could hear the truck idling but LB and BB combined were completey silent. What a tragic situation. Frankly i could not imagine paying all that money for a supercar which is barely even audible amongst mainstream passenger cars. And to think the engine sound from two supercars were completely drowned out by an idling truck is enough said. I also imagine LB will need to be awd so the 800 odd hp can shift the weight off the line otherwise it will struggle to improve upon the current 0 - 100 kph figure. Ferraris like Pista, F8, 488, never looked so appealing to the enthusiast. And 812 gts never looked so attractive.
carbon fiber could make save something like ~90-100kilos wich is better than nothing. Ma they're deaf about it so the 765LT will have easy life. Basically there will not be nothing southern to a laferrari that can match it till when? bwoah
They are not in the same locations. The SF90’s are higher up on the sides and angled differently, they are angled more upwards. The 488’s is more on the side, and has a more horizontal/slightly downward angle. Similar, but not the same location. With the same passenger’s saloon, Gearbox. and engine layout, same silhouette, Same wheelbase (2650 mm), same size etc. The Difference between f8 and sf90 design, is smaller than the difference in design between 458 and f8, and it still basically same car. Like f12 and 812, like 360 and 430. But step from f8 to LB, it is step from 430 to 458, or 599 to f12.
SF90 will eat it. It will be much heavier, but faster on the straight and on the track. And maybe even more fun.
