Newbie here. Figured I'd post here since no one else has in 3 months:)

I already owe a thanks to this forum as a prospective Ferrari owner as I thought for sure my first would be a 430 or ideally a 458.... But finances being as they are, and time/place/tracking availablity being what they are, the 360 I've learned here is probably the best fit for me right now.

Negotiating on some right now actually! Looking forward to spending my limited free time here!

Hi everyone! My first day here. Looking forward to interacting and adding value with fellow Ferrari enthusiasts!

I'm looking to access the Business & Investments section of the forum. Do I require Silver or Rossa subscription? Thank you in advance.

Technically not from today, but I thought it time I share my first image with you all! Collected the F355 on Monday, after a year of waiting for the dealer to fix everything (they still haven't, but thats another story!)

Just picked up a '88 Mondail.. It's a Euro car that was imported in '91. Makes me 3rd owner but knew the last owner who had it for 15 years. Exterior is good shape, interior shows it's almost a 30 year car and needs additional TLC. I'll be making up a laundry list of things to do, replace tomorrow.

Firs off the bat is needing new clutch and fluid flushes. Want to make sure it runs and stops. Be calling Roselli Foreign Repair (Well noted Ferrari shop in San Jose, CA). Expecting $5k to get her running (Naming the car "Red Baron") and then work on the basics (Tonneau cover for top down driving, etc).

Feel free to give me any pointers.

Hi. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and have been a member on FerrariChat since 2005, but this is my first post.

I am a long-time member of M5Board and still have my 2000 M5 - sold the '06 M5 a few years ago and now drive an E63 Wagon. I had an 800hp 2007 Turbo Porsche (thanks Sharkwerks and EVOMS) up until a year or so ago.

I've been wanting to purchase a Ferrari for some time and I'm glad that I waited since the build quality has improved so much from what I see and hear - not to mention the performance.

Now I'm looking to get an F12 (it would be my first F-car). I drove a Scudaria twice and loved it. I may find myself in a 488 in the future. I'm a bit older and feel that the F12 will suit most of my driving - but I love a nimble car like a 458/488 so I may do that in the future.

My first posts will be more to ask advice than offer any as I will be new to the Ferrari experience, but I'll do my best to offer up what I can.

    Cheers!

    Hello all,

I have been shopping and watching the 430/360 market for a manual transmission coupe for about a year now...exhausting...so, I just wrapped up a 2004 BLK/BLK 17,500 mi car last week. It should be to me next week. I already ordered the LED lighting upgrade (thanks to some great posts here) to go along with addressing a few items that showed up in the PPI.

It's been about 12 years since I have had a proper sports car, so I am excited about my first step into Ferrari ownership. Date nights should be more interesting now.

Hello All. New member here. Trying to make posts, send PM's and also start a thread but I do not have access. How does one reach out to a moderator to have this changed when sending a PM is not an option?

    Please advise, thank you.

New to the group, not got a Ferrari at the moment but been looking for a while. Had a test drive in the 458 and California last summer, just not sure if it's for me. Been told the 458 can be very twitchy in damp conditions. Also I enjoy using my car at the moment as much as poss, a few people have said a lot of Ferrari's are bought and polished instead of used for what they were meant for. I saw this earlier and it did make me smile Image Unavailable, Please Login

    Hi All,

My name is Jennifer and I am new to this forum. I joined because I am thinking about getting a Ferarri and was looking for advice.

I'm in southern California and I'm looking to purchase a 488 GT or Spider, new.

Here are some initial questions I had if anyone has feedback:
    1. 488 GT or Spider?
    2. All of our cars are currently black and I love black, but it seems to hide the beautiful lines on the 488 and so I was thinking of white for this car. Any thoughts on color?
    3. Any thoughts on leasing vs buying outright?
    4. I'm told that these cars are one of the few exceptions to the rule that cars do not generally hold their value, but that Ferrari's do hold their value. Have you experienced that this is true?

I would love any other general feedback or advice from those that have gained experience from owning a Ferarri. Thank you so much!

Hello all...I am new to the Forum. Well 10 weeks now of researching F430's on this informative Forum and this is my second post. I am currently working on a deal for a 06 F430 Spider which if I purchase will be my first Ferrari :).
I would like to contact a few members like 134282 to get info on a Vin and SAFE4NOW to inquire about a PPI through PM but I am finding this PM'ing a frustrating ordeal. PM'ing is not as easy as other forums I have been on. Maybe it's the Newbie status and I need a few more posts or the recent changes to the forum and I am missing the obvious. As I have PM'ed one member before the forum changes but defiantly no luck now when I really need it o_O.
Anyway lots of information on this forum it has helped me a great deal on researching for my first Ferrari purchase...thanks everyone for all the informative posts I have been reading.
When I purchase I will defiantly post.

Looking for thoughts - thinking of selling my 355 spider - about 12000 miles and 6 years since last major service - would appreciate thoughts on whether to perform major service before sale or not bother and let new owner do it - my gut is that I would not get back the cost of the major if serviced prior to sale

HI Group. I just signed up. Got my first Ferrari. Exciting. Love cars. Have a garage full but this one I was particularly interested in. I spent a year finding the right one and right price. Any other FF owner's out there?

    Hi to all.

I am a new subscriber and the sixth owner (june 2018) of a 1986 Ferrari 412 GT, as it is indicated on the official Belgian documents. VIN: ZFFYD24B000059361

After many years in California (4 owners), the car has been exported to the Netherlands and is now recently in Belgium.

This is part of its history:

A really stunning `86 Ferrari 412i. Smartly finished in dark grey metallic with brown Connolly leather trim. The first owner, Morton Lloyd Viner, Hollywood agent to stars like Dean Martin and Shirley McLaine, travelled to Maranello, Italy to collect his order. The second owner (Jean-Paul L. Montupet) collected Ferraris and added this one to his collection. After to further owners the car finally ended up in Holland with just 32,529 miles on the clock. The car as a whole is in tremendous condition. The bodywork is straight with no signs of corrosion and nicely fitting body panels. Throughout the years this car has enjoyed perfect servicing and maintenance. This has resulted in a 412 that performs all functions flawlessly (even the aircon!) and drives a treat. It has had a recent major service carried out by a Dutch Ferrari specialist with particular attention to the valve adjustment and 4 new TRX Michelin tyres costing 10,000,- euros as well as replacing the stainless steel exhaust system costing 3,000.-! An extensive history is ready for you to inspect. Every piece of documentation thinkable is present including invoices, service book and owners manual.

Even being conscious, it is never cheap to own or to drive a Ferrari, I hope it will be my fellow companion for many years.

    Peter
