1st time on a street car? Ok, how exactly is this different from a Spyker (credit to Rijk, for the excellent suspension pics of #207)?

Refer to the pic I posted earlier (and below, my 2006 Spyker). Based on what little I understand from my reading of "zero keel", I think the Spyker qualifies. If not, please explain.

So the Cup 2 on the 488 and Speciale are that different?

 

Perhaps you missed my above post about my aesthetic impressions of the Ford GT at Oshkosh. I will give you a bit to back track and read.

I thought the 488 on PSS was as fast as the Speciale on MPSC2 around Fiorano?

 

Funny, I had considered deleting the "co-axial torsion bars" from lmpdesigner's quote because a) I have no idea what they are and b) I was more at issue with the rest of the claim. Besides, if we're getting excited about co-axial torsion bars, then it's time to get a life.

FWIW, I had to look up co-axial torsion bars. They were patented in automotive applications in 2009. Hardly "new".

 

I'm sure it's hard to get excited about something you don't know.

F1 & P1 cars run them and no other street car that I'm aware of ever has. I think that's cool, but Im a nerd and like technology.

 

Spyker uses coil over springs.
Nobody has done on a,street car the suspension package that is on the Ford. It is the way it is,done on a F1 or LMP car.
Just new to street cars thats all.
And nobody has a front aero pakage on a street car like the Ford.

 

Not to beat a dead horse that has been turned to glue, re-animated and killed several times over but...

WTF??? So 13% went to people who never owned a ford in their lives while others who were great customers were turned down?

Someone at Ford has some explaining to do. "Fair as possible"? That's ridiculous and insulting. What's fair about being declining while the car you wanted was offered to people who never owned a Ford ever?

By definition that is "completely unfair".

My god-- they offered these to people who never even owned an F-150.

Not according to Ferrari it won't. Ferrari says the 488 GTB is .5 seconds faster around Fiorano than the Speciale is and we all know Fiorano is a very short track (1.86 mile). Around a longer track it will lose more significant ground to the 488.

 

And didn't the 488 have PSS?

I think the "author" of that drivel has a real problem with the English language, most glaringly obvious in his understanding of the definition of "Actual."

 

This article is "Actual" junk. The car will be produce at 250 units per year and for at least 4 years.

 

I own an F-150 and understood the breakdown from the first time I read it.

 

What do you expect from a publication that specializes in Cars, Games, and Cell Phones?
