Made the decision today to buy this F12. Original first delivery in the Netherlands, august 2014, approx 12k miles. Have 2011 California that will be traded in. Convertible versus coupe only made me doubt but just want that 12 cilinder and love the design.

Wow that car looks brand new. What a stunning spec. I was driving my F12 last night and had a stupid smile on my face the entire time (this is after two years and 6,000 miles of ownership). enjoy! and post up your initial impressions!

Thanks all, cannot wait for the first drive. It is like new, upholstery flawless and exterior as well. 12k miles in 8 years is not a lot off course.

Congratulations Reiner. My wife swapped her Cali for an F12 earlier this year. Kroymans didn’t have your car (or any other F12s come to think of it) in stock at the time so we had to go elsewhere. You won’t regret the change.

Wow, what a collection! Think I have seen the F12 elsewhere on this forum, very nice! Was thinking of red myself for the F12, my Cali is also Rosso Corsa) but obviously decided differently. That was also because I just did not want to miss this opportunity. Maybe we will meet sometime in the Netherlands, not that big a country :)

Hi guys, I’m planning to buy my first Ferrari and I think it will be an F12. I discovered one from an official dealer in Rosso corsa exterior, black leather and alcantara interior, full carbon interior and exterior, racing seats. It’s 2017 and it has 25000 km. I’m thinking about the mileage…I don’t know if good or too high kilometres on it.

5000 km per year is very typical and similar to the car in post#1 - these are very strong engines and you are buying with 2 year factory warranty if 'Ferrari Approved' - just do it !

Welcome to the forum Alessandro. There is nothing wrong with 25,000km on a 2017 car. It sounds like it has a great specification. Buy it and enjoy it.

How much miles do you think I could do until huge depreciation? (Cause the car cost 255k right now)

Every mile depreciates the value. Not what you wanted to hear. Ferrari is a pay to play experience and most owners avoid putting on miles which is sad. Sounds like you are cost conscious and that does not go very well with owning exotics. Suggest a lesser brand with lower going in price and annual maintenance that you won't mind driving the wheels off. If you want to stay in the game with Ferrari then honestly that sounds like higher mileage than I would want.

Agree with all of the above although the starting mileage of this particular car is not a problem in Europe where high km are common as people actually drive the cars. In fact, this car is actually low mileage as only 18 out of 48 F12 for sale right now have fewer km on them.

The rule of thumb is that every 10k km knocks €10k off the value. So you’re basically paying €1/km in depreciation when you drive the car.

Saying all that, if inflation continues to persist and F12 values firm, then there is the prospect of less net depreciation. However, the fact remains that compared to an equivalent F12 with fewer km, the price gap will be there due to the km you put on the car. Depreciation free (at a gross level) motoring is a myth.

This is what i want to know. As I say it's my first Ferrari and I only know something more about Audi RS and Porsche, so obviously I'm buying this car for pleasure, but I want to make me an idea of how Ferrari world is.

(Only 8 of 18 on AutoScout24 are F12 Berlinetta under 25k km, the others 10 are special Versions)

I was using Mobile.de and I excluded the special versions. On Autoscout24, 10 out of 54 are special versions leaving 44. Of those 44, only 13 have less than 25,000km.

you're going from the entry level car to the flagship model. hope you can see the difference.

i had a cali and a 458 spider and loved them dearly but as Enzo supposedly said, true drivers prefer coupes. and we all know chassis stiffness etc. but with super materials today like carbon fiber that statement might not hold water.

Update from the guy initiating this post :) Took delivery of the F12 last week. Conditions were far from ideal, cold and day before some drizzle so lots of salt was sprinkled on the roads. Very slippery on some parts, and then driving a 740 HP monster home.. Even in Wet mode it was skidding all over the place if I stepped on the gas a bit too eager. But what a wonderful car it is, cannot get much better than this IMO.

I purchased an F12 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love the car. I don't the usual head-turning and that is a good thing. Plus the comfort is really really nice.
