As for this long time Duc owner/riser, what a piece of crapola that is. No thank you. Looks like another Terablanche vomit fest. I'll stick with the old thanks. 97 900ss/s9 00 M-900Sie

Saw it last week at a DUcati party. I like it. The black w/ CF looked great. The riding position was neutral and very comfortable and my feet were flat, am 5'10. Lots of tech including ABS, Traction control, LEDs, 3 different ECU settings. 160ish hp and 480lbs, not bad. Price wasnt mentioned but $18k is a good guess.
Did you hear anything about orders so far? I'm curious to see how manyb they sell, and importantly to what demographic...

what an odd bike from ducati ...what's the point exactly? it's essentially just a lighter weight V-rod
Saw the Diavel today at the bike show. Seat height is low. It hides its weight well, at least at rest. It uses the 4-valve liquid-cooled 1198 motor, so it's got some 160 HP. It can lean to 41 degrees before scraping stuff. ABS, traction control, slippper clutch, single-sided swingarm. I'm not the right demographic for this bike, but maybe it's Ducati's interpretation of the V-Rod/power cruiser.
As someone who had a Brutale 910 R and a Night Rod Special and liked them both for their own merits I think this bike looks great. Like to see it in person.
I like the bike, but really I'm not crazy about it. I wont be stepping in line to try and get one. My next bike will still be either a 1098 or an 848.
They start shipping in March... A bit of a shame BCM's no longer in business for you, but I understand the shop up in Maine is good.
What do you guys think? Does it suit me? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wasn't too sure what to think of the Diavel until I saw one in the dealer the other day. Certainly a somewhat odd looking Ducati, but it has some killer lines to it. The CF accents are a very nice touch as well. Overall though, it's not the bike for me.
I'm so much more into the vintage English/Japanese bikes than these over-powered jock rockets... An acquaintance works at the local dealership, and loves it. But I can't get over the fact that all fuss isn't over anything but performance statistics. It looks bloated to me and the cow-catcher at the bottom just doesn't fit, nor do the fat pipes. Matter of taste I suppose.
