Nice finding Justin and this new one visually looks much better.

That's a lot friendlier than the old version, still doesn't offer the stripe on the seat back and cavellino on the headrest.

Rendering is far better than old one. But very limited in terms of showing different interior options. Looks like mostly for marketing than for choosing an interior spec - too limited to be genuinely useful. Still need to spend time at dealer to visualise different interior specs.

How does one do stitching, and different carbon options?
Doesn’t seem anywhere as comprehensive as previous one.
I prefer old one for experimenting with contrasting colors and textures.

Agreed. Has anyone figured out how to, for example, delete the shields, specify stitching the cavallino into the head rest, etc. Pics looks cooler, the functionality in playing with options seems reduced...T

Visually it’s so much more realistic in terms of lighting angles but lacks the options choices of the old version.

Hopefully they’ll add more detailed options choices in the near future.

Exactly. The incomplete options is a nonstarter for me.

I wonder if they are doing this so the general public can get a taste of what speccing a Ferrari would be like and then if you are a client you would go to your dealer and get a more detailed spec. Also the dealer can help weed out some of the more- uh- interesting combinations you might be able to create with the old setup?

Except that you won’t spend days at the dealership configurating countless variations of combinations...
    I miss the old configurator.

Ask your dealer for their options list which is 44 pages long on PDF, plus the price list on PDF, and use this in conjunction with the configurator, that’s how I did the prep work before we went to the Atelier, but still ended up changing things, but at least I had a good idea of what was what.

Seems to me Ferrari keeps getting worse with each new ''generation'' of configurator. The best one they did was for the 430/599 GTB. Colours where clear. Options where clear, many more options than this version...

I'm not so much defending it as trying to understand it. I agree it would be nice to be able to play with it. Perhaps they could make it possible for a known client to access the dealer level one?

What is the difference between carbon stile seats vs standard racing and monocoque?

    Hard to tell. Thanks

    As I understand it...

CF Stile is the dots pattern on the seats.

Standard racing is standard with the kind of traditional almost "U" with flat bottom looking pattern on the seats.

Monocoque would be those really rare seats that look like (or maybe are!) those in the challenge cars- they are a single seat mold with no backrest adjustability.

Monocoque are on the configurator. Seems like their backs are solid. I put them in my configuration. Flirting with 812.

I do not believe the monocoque racing seats are available for a US production 812.
