Here's my short post for you all!

I finally purchased my first Ferrari. I am beyond ecstatic. It's a 2010 Ferrari California with about 50k miles on it (I know, I know...that's a lot of miles). Looking forward to enjoying a little bit of the somewhat warm air here in Georgia with it a bit longer before I retire it for the winter. Now, to stop from putting too many miles on it right off the bat...

EDIT: As a note, I traded in my BMW i8 for this. It's so nice to have an exhaust again.

FerrariChat has definitely given me a lot of info as I've lurked here. Thank you folks!

    Congrats!

To hell with miles! You bought a car to drive it, now get out and drive it!! If you're not putting 10,000 miles a year on it, what’s the point? :)

Oh by the way, she looks stunning!!

Luckily, most of my driving is all for fun. I work from home so I probably only drive about 5k-8k per year on "my car". Otherwise, it's the minivan or the Maserati for me.

Thank you, by the way! My favorite part is the peanut butter interior. That leather smell is cathartic.

    Stunning interior!

I also work from home, and I use mine for my daily driver. Take the wives Range Rover when we need to go anywhere with our daughter. These cars were built to be driven.

    Welcome to the family!

Thank you. I hope you have as many great memories in your Cali as my wife and I have had in ours. F ownership has proven to be great...T

Is that a tan interior? Looks a little more brown than cuoio. Enjoy the car! Read the "Mileage Anxiety" post on F-chat. These cars are meant to be driven, not left in the garage!

It may have been the lighting (that pic was done in my garage and I didn't have any lighting) but I would say the color is a lot closer to peanut butter or caramel. Admittedly, I am not aware what specific interior color it is. I hope to learn more about that as time goes on, though. Where I am at, there haven't been too many Ferraris around unless the LeMans is going on or Road Atlanta is hosting a fun show for something.

Thank you for pointing out that thread on mileage. I am going to go read it now!

Interior looks like Cuoio to me. Regardless, it's lovely. My '15 Cali T has diamond-stitching as well and I love it.

Could be iroko or cioccolato if it's not cuoio. I don't think they know what peanut butter is in Italy ;)

This is cuoio on my former 13.

    Great combo either way.

My interior is definitely a bit darker than that so perhaps it is correct that it is not cuoio.

Make sure the battery is less than three years old and the tires are less than four years old. This will ensure a safe and reliable ride.

Funny you mentioned that. Ron Roenicke drilled that into me. They replaced the battery a year ago (ferrari in ft. lauderdale) but I will probably need to replace the tires. That's ok, though, because my first service at FoA I am going to get that done.

Congrats! It's beautiful. I just got my 2010 Cali in Sept (had 48k miles as well). I picked it up in LA and drove it back to ATL-it was fantastic! Drive it every weekend. Love it and have had no issues. Enjoy!

Oh boy. I just got my first "Engine Control Failure - Go to Dealer" message.

Anyone have a good recommended OBDII sensor?

Are you waiting a few seconds before pushing the start button after you turn the key? The computer is waiting for the various ECUs to check in and if you start too soon, you can get random errors. If it disappears on the next start up you are probably okay. An old battery can cause similar issues.

It took me a handful of errors before I learned my lesson to wait before pressing start.
