OK I swear that God is trying to drive me absolutely nuts. Have just visited the new Veyron site http://www.bugatti-cars.com and seen the san pur model. I swear that if I could afford it I would order in a flash. This this is just fabulous. Check it out!

As possibly still the only Australian to drive a Veyron I am hear to say that if you drive this thing no other car will do it for you.

I need a cure to this fixation.

This website reflects the quality of the car but be sure to look at the news section that carbon fibre and aluminium is to die for.

The Pur Sang reminds me of a certain McCheaters team colours :p

According to internets Socceroo Tim Cahill owns one in the UK.

I'd still have mine in blue and black :)

Bad news Nev. The newest article in the new section says the Pur Sang is sold out. I would have prefered the metals in the oppposite configuration really. Would have look a bit nicer I think.

Neville, I am very jealous of your Europe trip last year. Amazing cars. Are you still considering bringing a Veyron into Australia? Have any RHD cars been built yet, and if not is it possible? Did you get a chance to drive the Veyron on VW's "secret" track in Germany? Final question, are there any suitable tracks/roads in Oz where you could "safely" reach top speed?

[Apologies to all about the slightly "Langers" nature of this post]

have a friend in brisbane , also called roger , who took his 997 carrera s in for a service , and walked out 40 minutes later in a 997 GT3 , my kinda guy . we are mooting the idea of a veyron in aus , and as you said nev , take it to the car shows and pay $5 to see the car . what about $25 to sit in it and have a photo taken , using their own camera , away from the car show gaze ? there are guys out there that would be interested in a share of one . it doesn't need to make money , just help with the cost or ownership , and be deductable .

    * waiting for someone to say * " there's a guy on here from the ATO "

if you bought a car to display , and charged people the privilage to view , then is it a business ?

the real issue might be when you turn the key for a drive .

a sensible business plan is a must , and some expert advice on whether it would fly .

my answer would be no , both from a safety aspect , and a legal one , unless on a salt plain , don't know how the tyres would go .

I'm an oompa loompa mate, not part of any crowd. There's a difference between a gentle prod and an all out assult. You do have a record of "gunna" buy this or that - F40, Zonda and now Veyron. Most normal people would have just laughed off Goobers comments rather than gone all abusive. Me, I don't care either way.
