    You're going to love that car. The 412 is elegant, easy to live with, and the styling really grows on you. The 5 speed will make for an exciting ride indeed. Even the autos are fun (and easy around town), but the 5 speed is really quite rare over here. There's no way you'll lose money on that car.

    It is supposed to arrive any day now and yes you will see it at future mid-atlantic events as soon as I get some new tires.

    The car is pretty much as expected. The interior looks like the pictures and the engine is very clean and the underside is very nice too. The paint is shiny and nice, but it does have a few touch up spots where someone probably scratched it while it was sitting in the garage etc. Engine pulls strongly but is much more quiet than the previous 365 GT's that I owned. I miss the sound of the carb'd V-12, but so far so good.

    Minor dings and scratches like that are inevitable. You'll add one or two yourself. It's part of the patina and history of the car. I let very small dings accumulate go until a paintless dent repair guy is in the shop when my car happens to be. I left a three or four inch long scratch on the trunk of my 365 gt4 after the original owner told me he had bought a Harley and parked next to the car in a small garage in Milan while he was living there. It didn't dent the metal and it tells part of the car's story.
