Well, had my first drive today - the auto isn't too bad, but the steering is awful. Klink assures me that they shouldn't be so... boat-like. I understand that it uses a ZF recirculating ball steering box - these can be adjusted, right?

Please chime in and reassure me that the steering is better than a '67 Caddy

Happy you're not too disappointed in the auto.
Sounds like the suspension/steering needs work. The ball joints in mine were completely shot when I got it but they are cheap & easy to replace.

The tyres are 3/4 shot and probably have some age on them.
    My 365 handles ,almost,like my 308 GT4.......well in my hands :D

Tyres could be a lot of the problem then. Mine had a mixture of Bridgestone & Goodyear (series 1 - 15 inch) when I got it but a new set of Michelin improved it no end. I'll agree that they should handle fairly well - not that I have too many bends to drive round out here anyway. I also started running dynabeads in the tyres & was amazed at what a difference dynamic balancing can do at speed.

Mine handles very well, nice and solid confident feel through high speed turns even with cheesy TRX tires.

Your picture taking still needs work, the picture is reversed. I can tell because the steering wheel is on the wrong side :D :D :D .

Great looking car! The handling should improve once you sort the tires, suspension and steering.

    Regards,

    Art S.

Noice interior, check the rear seats for hard leather(common due to lack of use),if they are give 'em a big drink of leather food.

Actually having a think about yer crook handling......the lack of one pedal and incorrect gearlever shape probably has something to do with it,as well :D

I would hope so, after sorting that out, there's nothing left!

I was hoping to find a blue/tan combo, which I think looks the best on this model, but the silver/blue is looks good in the flesh - it's growing on me.

Is that green garden hose in front of the alternator?

Thanks for all the compliments, guys. I was hoping it would drive a little better off the bat, so that I could immediately demonstrate to my wife how clever I am, but now I'm going to have to get some tinkering done a little earlier than planned. The shocks look pretty new, and supposedly the suspension bushes were done when the engine was rebuilt (11,000km ago), so hopefully just something in the steering will sort it out for now.

Looks like garden hose used as conduit to run the wiring for the alternator. ;)
