hello all just doing on my BB a major and changing the rear bearings. after cleaning all I found a 3 times broken washer, part number 101213. sorry, only 2 are right to see, the 3rd on the photo nearly not visible. have a look at the photos. never have seen such big washer broken before, and this not completely, only about 50 % of the thickness Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had exactly this washer break when I was disassembling and applied torque the wrong direction for the Left hand thread side- didn't take much to break it-it's heat treated and brittle.
have no WSM for the BB and need the torque for the 2 nuts no. 12 and no. 14 who can help? thank you in advance Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have seen it before as well. Is this a single lug car? These are old cars brother. A lot of fatigue and heat over the years a well.
Good day Romano, I checked the BB WSM as well as the 365 GTC4 WSM (which is very similar to the BB) and both provide the same toque settings for items (12) and (14) in your diagram: Your Item (12) (18mm x1.5) - 18 kg-m or approx 130 ft-lbs Your Item (14) (27mm x 1.25) - 22 kg-m or approx 159 ft-lbs Cheers, Sam
