I've got a 1982 Lancia Zagato that needs to be gone through by someone who specializes in Italian cars, specifically Lancias. Google shows that there is a Santo's Italian Car Service in Northridge, but that's a bit far for me as the car is located in Redlands. I was gong to take it to I.C.S in downtown LA, but their phone is no longer in service. Does anyone know of a shop/mechanic in the Inland Empire, Riverside, OC, or LA that they could recommend? It's just that the Valley's a stretch. Thanks in advance.

Try Larry at Ferrari Tech (714) 639-1706) in Orange. He might be taken on new customers.

Already mentioned but I'd also recommend Craig Calder at Fast Cars in Torrance. Not just Ferrari but experience with other Italian marques.

I would vote for fast cars as well. Just stop in and see the facility for yourself, that's what I did and would not go anywhere else.

If you have not already taken the car in, talk to Mike Tuason. He has had many a Lancia and also has a zagato or two (as well as I don't know how many Scorpions).

I know Santo and his sons who I sometimes race with for over 15 years. His cars are always top notch and his level of experience with these cars is hard to beat. I don't think you will find a better shop for your purpose than Santo's. Racing is a tough hobby. His cars don't break. There is not much more you can put a car though than racing it the way his boys do. He is worth the drive.

Between Mike and Bluroad, you have some folks very familiar with those cars.

Carl is awesome, just saw him Thursday. I'd +1 him for sure, Mike and Bluroad are not shops. First time I met him, he was working on a Jolly.

    Hey everybody, new member here.

Did Ferdman, the Lancia owner, find someone to work on his car? If so, how did the job turn out?

I have a Fiat Dino, and am planning a restoration. The car is in Vegas, and does not run. Therefore, will be needing to find transport. Maybe there is someone in Las Vegas that has sufficient expertise, but realize Southern California is where the car probably will go.

Any Fiat Dino owners on the board?

    Thanks much

I take my car to Gran Touring in Signal Hill (Long Beach). I've seen 2 different Fiat Dinos there, and usually at least 2 or3 Dino 246's there at any given time. Norbert really knows Dinos.

OK, thanks for the recommendation for Norbert at Gran Touring Classics. Has any restoration work been done there, or just repair?

Possibly some of these shops are members of Ferrari Chat, and could discuss my issue online. Calder1, are you still around?

OK Calder, Only been a member here for a day. Most sites limit PM function for new members, maybe same here. Also, I attempted 2 times to send a email through your website, both times caused IE to stop. Basically, this was my email:

I joined Ferrarichat.com, and asked about Craig as I've seen him post previously about the Fiat Dino. In case you are not "Craig", here is my issue. I have owned a '71 Dino 2.4 coupe, and has not been driven for 15 years. I want it restored. The car is in Las Vegas, so if you are to do the work, it would have to be transported from Las Vegas to L.A. Are you taking on this sort of work? Do you charge a fortune? If you prefer, we can talk on phone

Ended up taking the car to Santo. He did a great job. Everything mechanical is good. The problem now is/are the electrics. There's a drain somewhere and battery needs charging often. Sometimes it won't start. Looks like the previous owner screwed around with the wiring as there are a lot of wires that were cut then put back together. Now looking for someone who can do the electrics.

    Great guys...
They did a partial resto on my 1971 Ghibli, a complete mechanical resto on my 1968 365 GT, and a complete mechanical resto on my 1967 Ghia 450SS.
I just dropped off my 1969 Lancia Fulvia Zagato that is in need just about everything...
