Hoping someone can help here. Cartier in NYC was no help, and neither was the fellow I bought this from.

I recently purchased a small Ferrari desk clock, made in someway by Cartier back sometime in the 1980s. It is a Quartz movement. I know this may sound stupid, but...... can't see/figure out how to change the battery. It looks like the round center cap might be removable, but I don't want to damage anything...... The face with the movement attached does remove as one unit, but on the backside it is not clear as to what or how to take off to get to the battery. Photos of all below. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you Romo. I do have a watchmaker that I take my old and newer pieces too. I was just trying to figure this out ahead of time if possible, and see if anyone else had one and was familiar with it. It is a neat piece, and I just found some press info on it, but no instructions.

    That stem winds a spring??
    :D :D :D

I have the wrist watch from the same series, and to change the battery in IT takes a special tool, it's a 17 point hexagonal.

Or, a brave watch tech to say "^%$^% it" and bravely attack the piece with alternative means.

No winding on this (Quartz) - Stem just pulls out two clicks, one for setting date, and other for setting time.

I was wondering if a special tool was needed...... I'll be taking it to my watch guy.

you can access the battery by simply removing (lifting with your fingernail) the central round cover.

Thanks HG, I will give that a try. I thought it might be there, but did not want to try that without any confirmation.
