you know that green button with the P marked on it to the left of the steering wheel? yea, that thing you never use. i would like to buy one and i think the price on eurospares is exorbitant. so i will either find a used one on this board from somebody, or i will rebuild the one i have. anybody got one to sell?
have a look at BMW, they had nearly the same at the E 3 models 2500, 2800, 3,0 and 3,3 ltr year around 1968 to 1977 ( when I remember right, but could be also other BMW models )
Is the parking light switch not working, or is the button just popping out and not staying in when you press it? Brian Brown San Francisco Motorsports
somehow, the catch no longer catches, so the light stays lit, and the parking lights at all 4 corners stay lit. had to remove it so that the battery would not be drained. i unplugged it, and it seems to have been taken apart once before.
there is a smal spring and a moving plastic pin. may be the pin is round meanwhile? at BMW it is the fog light switch in green
thanks guys, this looks similar https://www.jaymic.com/fog-lamp-switch-green-push-type-bmw.html altho it is half of the price of the ferrari piece, they still want stupid money for this switch.
so i took it apart, and there is a central spring, and a metal pin that follows a little pathway on a small plastic piece, and i can see how it works, but i dont see how to make it work - it all seems to be functioning ok, except that it is impossible to press it down far enough for the metal pin to catch in the plastic path.
some dirt may lock the pressing down? my memory is lacking, I thaught it was a plastic, not a metal pin
I apologize, as I don't remember what I adjusted to to make it work, I think the pin was bent and needed to be adjusted.
