Had my first joy of Ferrari ownership today!!! After 2 weeks and 1200 miles the Check Engine light came on while driving. Took her to Gran Prix in Portland to see what it was. This was at 4pm on a Friday so they ran the check and came back with codes P1130 and P1119. I have done searches on both and cannot find anything for P1130 on FChat. Gran Prix's tech said he needed 2-3 hours with the car to make sure it wasn't a number of things he mentioned like leaks or seals. Anyone know what the P1130 code is and what it means if they both (P1130 and P1119) come on together? The tech did say say that it had to do with air/fuel mixture but was driveable. I sincerely appreciate all of you who know more than me about this new obsession I started!
Hi. What year 355? If it's a 95, you can pick up the codes yourself from the car. Here is a list of the codes I have. Possibly the mechanic read them wrong? Hot wire air flow meter 1111 Engine coolant temp sensor 1112 Throttle potentiometer 1113 Lambda sensor 1114 RPM sensor 1121 Battery voltage 1122 Secondary air solenoid valve 1123 Purge valve 1124 Lambda regulation Additive value for self adaptation 1211 Lambda regulation multiplicative value for self adaptation 1212 Lambda regulation intake manifold compensation 1212 Short circuit on idle regulator 1311 Open circuit on idle regulator 1312 Electronic control unit 1313 Injection valve 1 1411 Injection valve 4 1412 Injection valve 2 1413 Injection valve 3 1414 Malfunction Indicator Lights (MIL) 1444 Valve 4111 Stroke sensor 4112 Power module not used 4113 TDC control unit recognition 4114 Catalyzer temp ECU 4121 Catalyzer temp too high 4122 Speedometer signal 4123 Compressor connection signal 4131 No error detected 4444 Mike
Cannot find code P1130 I believe P1119 is 02 Sensor Heater Circuit (Upstream Catalyst) (Bank 2, Sensor1). I believe these are the codes for the 360, but most of them apply to 355. Mike
It is a 1999 355, Mike. Does anyone disagree with the tech who says that it is still okay to drive over the weekend? I just want to have a little bit of info when I do drop her off to get fixed. Thanks for the help!!!
Brock, Since I'm not familiar with that code, I can't tell you whether I think it's safe of not. Sorry I couldn't help more. Mike
Picking her up today. All they needed were four hours of labor to fix some leaky hose. I'll post the details and the descriptions of the codes tonight.
Well, after 1200 miles I guess it was time for something to go awry, no??? Took her to Gran Prix and picked her up. here is the diagnosis: Codes P1130 and P1119 signified an intake leak according to the tech at Gran Prix Imports, who is the authorized Lamborghini Dealer of Portland, Oregon. The tech "tested and found leak at front of manifold and also a broken vacuum line. Replaced line and re-sealed leak." Total cost was only 4 hours labor. Cost was very reasonable. Customer service was so lacking that I am alsmot considering using Ron Tonkin Ferrari for service. I am writing a letter to the owner of GPI tomorrow.
