    Amusing story...

Talk about being clueless (me). I went to a car show LAST summer and parked next to this station wagon in the pictures below. I just YESTERDAY posted this pic on a different website and someone responded by asking me if that was the "Family Truckster" from National Lampoon's Vacation. It NEVER even occured to me until just NOW what a coincidence that was. I guess that explains why the guy who owned it gave me such a strange look after I parked next to him and was pretty much an @sshole the rest of the day. LOL!

Hhahaha honkey lips... love those pics.

Anyone ever notice though that in the Vegas Vaction movie Christie Brinkley (I think that's who the woman in the Ferrari was.) was Driving a Mondial?

Is that a Maserati trident on the side of the Truckster? Now it all makes sense...

I am not going mad then. There was another thread that touched on the film "National Lampoons vacation", some guy commented that it was a 308 she was driving. I was convinced it was a Mondial Cab.

Seems like right characters wrong film :D

In Vegas Vacation she's driving a Modial with a baby seat in the back. The license plate said something funny.

They filmed the Christie Brinkley driving scenes in this movie outside of my home town. I still remember going to the Holiday Inn every night to see the 308 and the Truckster on the open car hauler. We couldn't figure out what the story was on the station wagon, but we admired the Ferrari for hours. I wish I'd known Christie was in the hotel.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy that car, it's ugly but you probably couldn't get me out of it!

Man, I was obsessed with her & the Ferrari in that movie as a kid. What a great flick! Some funny scenes from that movie. A couple that stand out are...

    1) When Rusty asked the pimp how to get back on the express way, the pimp said "hey man f**k yo mama!".

    2) When Audrey & her cousin were on the seesaw, the cousin says "I go steady, and I french kiss". Audrey says "so, everybody does" and the cousin says "yeah, but daddy says I'm the best at it".

    LOL!
