The difference now being that back in Yarborough's day, they didn't know from t-shirt and trinket merchandising and TV time which accounted for exactly (counting fingers) none of the team's and driver's incomes. Today, step out of line with the NASCAR honchos and your t-shirt vending trailer is relegated to the next county from the track and your income (which can amount into the tens of millions) is severely limited, not to mention those "performance adjustments" (ballast) added to your car. We should probably make a 2015 Thread. I started 2014, I'll let some one else do 2015. But you hit on one of my least favorite things about NASCAR, let the drivers be people, and people have their frustrations!
