So NASCAR is going to just keep the cars going around-and-around under caution and let the laps tick off?

Yep, but they would certainly red flag it once within ~ 20 laps if still not dry.

Should of red flagged it after a few laps when you bring out drying equipment. This is why NASCAR doesn't get my interest much these days.

Just until they are sure the Edwards would make it on gas under green....

I think they'll red flag it as soon as they're sure Stewart and Edwards can both make it without stopping again

ESPN will make 'em red flag it so they can get in their BCS show w/o changing networks.

Wow, we had two of the same: SRB finished 2/3/15/26.

First losers party tonight at Applebee's! ;)

Carl Edwards will probably sneak in a Subway footlong or two. :D

I was not thrilled with all the laps lost under caution but it was a great race overall and I'm happy for Smoke although Carl would also be a worthy champion.

I'm not sure why people are trying to spin this into a scandal. it's NASCAR's playground, they can fine as they see fit; and I'd rather see it done in private, especially for off-track infractions, then have to listen to all the talking heads and radio show pundits chime in every time someone posts something mildly offensive on twitter.

+1. As long as the stay open about on-track and tech infractions (i.e. things that directly effect the racing) I see no issue with behind the scenes fines. NASCAR is just trying to protect the "show".

Yet aren't they (A$$CAR) playing the abusive mother figure in that they should not be questioned when in fact they are very well in the wrong?? I find it a sad sad sad state of affairs when living in the country of 'my freedom of speech shall not be infringed upon' one should be fined, one of the reasons I HATE A$$CAR.

Frankly imho if I were an A$$CAR driver and I was fined for speaking my mind/the truth I would quit that series so fast it would make their head spin.

I used A$$CAR because I think they are sucking more and more with each passing race, atleast until they get FI.
