Well Rob never dropped me and I still went on the Melbourne MM with him after the kerfuffle and would have enjoyed it immensely but Robbie drifted back to slagging people off who he knew were friends of mine. Rob was still talking to WRXMIKE and a few others. He got the schitts when his dogs died and some people were insensitive and he was naturally upset. I still like Rob a lot but wish he would stop slagging people off behind their backs His knowledge of significant cars is second to none and he can be a great laugh......... if some of you feel slighted you need to HTFU and get over yourselves, it's a tough life and we're not here for a long time, the truly wealthy ones are the people that have the most REAL friends when they die ........ I'm the only one attending my funeral but I'll be dead so won't give a fuch
It's a pity that two of the most knowledgable enthusiasts here appear to be bipolar in sooo many aspects, to the detriment of the populace of this site. Moretti,Rob and meself spent the best two days any motorhead could ever wish for 'motoring' from Bris to Smelb ending with a great party at Rob's which included Peter Pless and it was,for a bloke from the bush,a brilliant experience. Since then the 'vibe' of that experience has deteriorated into a total dislike for one,of an a sadness of loss of closeness with the other. John, you and I 'get' it 'cos we were there, the Tassie trip, which you didn't do (what did you do while we were there...tooo much booze I don't remember!_), was also a pinnacle of enthusiast driving, great times and mateship.....except it was bloody cold! most of the time.! Come back BlackJag (no political bullsh1t) around here.
I think we should all just kiss and make up, just like we do on the GG. (Except we’re WEARING makeup when we kiss ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe not for you but for me I had some of my best drives with Rob, laughing and getting first hand knowledge of some very significant cars ever to come to Oz. Met some beautiful people like Bill and Nola who are the salt of the earth type of people. And what Rob may have forgotten is that when he had cancer Peter and I were there for him and the day we visited him at his sister's place the cancer treatment was so terrible for him we didn't recognise him when he answered the door ! Like I said, money is fine but to have good friends is the real treasure of life and I find it very hard to let my friends go, even when they are fighting with each other
Some people come here and make a sport out of criticising others, including behind their back, but they run away and sulk when someone returns serve. Who needs it?
I don’t know the man, but I agree with Ian. Whatever happened is none of my business, but if you’re going to sling Schitt , be prepared for some to be slung back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
