http://www.mydeathspace.com/deaths.aspx Shocking at the amount of drunk driving deaths and the correlation of age, great wake up call.
as macabre as it sounds, that's a really cool website! i sometimes wonder how many people out there have done webby stuff and it now just sits dormant because they bought the farm. my favourite: http://www.mydeathspace.com/deaths.aspx?ctl00_MainContent_Weblogs1_show=4b04b80e-eb9f-43a8-a334-608ecb5ea499 ########## Cause of Death: Alcohol Poisoning from Excessive Alcohol Consumption ##########

While it's sad that they have died, they chose to make their lives public on myspace. Their choices, and their deaths may provide a lesson or encouragement to others that use myspace and seek answers to their problems and the choices they face on the internet. I don't see the harm that this could cause, nor do I see it as disrespectful to those involved.
Damn: "Thursday, November 11, 2004 Goodbye Current mood: suicidal I'm sorry for anyone who was stupid enough to care about me. I'm sorry that I have to do this. It's the only way to stop this. It's out of control. Tomorrow is the day. I have a date with a train. Goodbye...." Rachele Rudd [11/12/04] Method of Suicide: Train Age: 16 Location: Churchville, NY A CSX freight train struck and killed a pedestrian Friday morning at the Attridge Road crossing in Riga. The accident occurred at 8:12 a.m. where the train tracks cross Attridge Road near Black Creek Park. Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokesman John Helfer said the victim was a woman. Her name was not released. Helfer said the woman was on the tracks at the time of the accident. But further details about the accident were not released. A witness was being interviewed Friday afternoon, Helfer said. CSX Corp. spokeswoman Jane Covington said the crossing gates were down and the lights were flashing at the time of the accident. "This particular crossing had active warning devices which appeared to have been working," she said. "CSX is cooperating in every way we can. The investigation will verify that the devices were working properly." The train was headed to Chicago and included 105 cars pulled by three locomotives. Covington said a train of 150 cars traveling at 30 mph takes three-fourths of a mile to stop. "By the time a train crew sees a person or a car on the train tracks it's typically too late for them to be able to stop the train," she said.
Sad, and crummy for her...not crummy, there's no word for that, really. I don't know what went on in her life for her to hate it so much, except she was born into a circle of really ****ty people that would ignore her and let her get run over by a train in one last call for a bit of love. Just one person to love me, world! No? The ultimate measure of a person isn't in the total of the bank account, or the cars in the driveway, or the billions in this or that stock or the adoration of a million mindless fans, it lies in how good a parent is to their child. Being an excellent parent is the only true measure of a person. Anything else is pointless.
Great post Korr. These types of things have more significance to me because my father has been an psychiatrist for more than double the time I've been alive... So many horrible stories. But, in perspective, with 6.5 billion on this planet, statistically it would be a miracle if such things were a rarity.
Yeah. Sad, but true. I'm waiting, for simple fact that I want all the clueless ******* in me to be ironed out to a reasonable degree before the kids come along. No point in starting before that.
It puts a face, or faces, on life. Here today, gone tomorrow type of website where outsiders can think about life, maybe for a second. Tomorrow, maybe me, maybe Noelani. Maybe not? Most probably not, but what if? My life in a paragraph on a blog...if that. No thanks.
Dude, that site is totally harshing my buzz. But seriously, I think I'm missing the real fun because my ISP, aka the Guvmint, blocks myspace for whatever reason. Must be unIslamic....
I agree with you as well. And one of the tragedies of life is that there are real pieces of **** out there that don't deserve to be parents but of course they like all people have the right to bring children into the world, who are then abused, neglected and left to fend for themselves. Far too few people can be genuinely great parents- and the only true judges of that are their children.
This case makes me sick........... Why haven't they charged this guy? Why hasn't the family filed a wrongful death suit?
As am 18 year old and seeing all the people on that site and how young they are, is quite scary. Its terrible that it happened to all these peope. When you see the news, its just the same thing over and over but with this you see who they were and who their friends were. It really puts things into perspective.
