1967 GM prototype to compete with the Jeep. Chief engineer designed the Lunar Rover. Ex Steve McQueen and driven by him to victory at the Bahia 500. Came with tons of spares and Steve stuff. (A pair of his sunglasses sold for 75K and we all know what Mike sold his Lussos for. 2.2MM vs 550K for the FCHATTERS) GM Prototype VIN # and is Road legal. Very good to own in case things get really bad Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are those mufflers Forestry Service Approved???? That's a cool find!!!! Heck, it probably had some sunglasses in the glove box!!! Does it have a glove box???
That is awesome looking, looks like a perfect 'zombie apocalypse' car, mount a machine gun and go zombie hunting.
Awesomeness. I know just the place you could ride that with semi-reckless abandon . . . Methinks only shame is GM had such a nice swing but no follow-through. It looks oh, so well-balanced and purposeful.
Jim where do you find this stuff? You really have some unique things. I can remember you showing me your watch once... Also, whats it like to drive?
Bought it at Gooding Auction. Very comfortable ride. Split rear with ultra low range and 2W/4W drive system. Very well built 450HP Ron Falconer Chevy. Massive cooling. Auto with Hurst shifter.
I think this might have been the best buy at Gooding. Why am I not surprised it ended up in your garage? By the way, if you have one of these, you need to make sure you have one of these... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=269920&highlight=bug+bag
So awesome.. I saw this vehicle covered by a lifestyle/automotive blog a while back and thought it was one of the coolest things I had seen in a while. Glad it ended up with you!
Asbury Park NJ has a Zombie Walk on October 30. Maybe you should apply to be Grand Marshall or something. Don't tell them the plan is to kill all the zombies.
congratulations to your purchase, jim. are all the pictures from the same car? there are some different details in the pictures...
As with many race cars Boot was modified along the way. It was a two car team but Boot 2 had a different rear and nose.
If the apocalypse come, i would still take my chances with 0846 . Congrats on the Purchase James. Anywhere you can use it around Rye?
