Good evening all from the UK
I have the opportunity to buy my first Ferrari… a California 30
Good spec with a black roof and 19k on clock
The car is on at 75K and I have offered 70 and the dealer has come back and said 74 is the lowest as the car needs a main dealer service and he is giving me a 12 month warranty. what does everyone think…. should I go back and meet in the middle at 72500 ?

Sure - go ahead and counter offer. Worst thing that can happen is they say no & you'll have a decision to make whether to accept their offer. Good luck.

Stick to your guns at £70K perhaps £71K tops, second hand values are softening. Plus is the 12 month warranty a main dealer warranty or warranty from a second hand dealer? If the later its probably not worth much and/or have claim limits.
just looked on auto trader, is it the john holland example? there are a couple of examples around the £67.5K mark albeit slightly higher mileage. £67.5K = sub £65K sale price

They have come back and said 73k is the minimum they will take however I will have to check if the 12 month warranty can be used at Ferrari

I know of the company, they are decent dealers but they are no franchise so the warrant won't be as strong. Check the warranty offered, it will be a third party like RAC or other. If you are happy go in strong, offer a quick sale at £70K
Use motorwatch on auto trader and you'll see other cars being discounted - any car sitting on the forecourt costs the dealer money. They said £74k was the min but now are willing to accept £73K so what does that tell you. If you are happy with the car and warranty offer £70K with an immediate deposit or settlement, these guys would have bought car in circa £62-65k

I bought and sold through them in 2018/19. Painless transactions. Car was a 911.

I think this is the Cali T, I looked at last year. Important to note it’s white, wrapped red. Also, I struggled to tie the service history together, as from memory some was missing/not stamped.

For such a small monetary spread, the car's condition should be the prime mover. What did your inspection reveal?

    1/ it
    1/ it’s not a California Tit’s a 30
2/ the original colour according to the logbook is Rosso Corsa not White… so I think you must be referencing a different car
What was the registration of the car you were looking at ?

That user was saying he would rather buy a Cali T for the same price and shared the link to this one you are talking about. The OP is after a Cali 30. Diff cars.

Correct, I was pointing out that, it maybe the same price, but not necessarily comparable given what I found. So I didn't want the OP thinking it was a decision/consideration

You'll like the sound of the Cali 30 better until you stand on the accelerator in a Cali T and wave goodbye to the mere mortals in Astons, M3s and 911s. If that Cali T referenced can be had for the same price, the Cali 30 is too expensive. Plus, the Bianco Italia paint under that wrap is exquisite and a very expensive upgrade. I chose the Cali T over the 30 for my first Ferrari in 2020 and got supercar performance for that time in a practical grand tourer. Give a Cali T a proper test drive and I will be surprised if you buy the 30....
