Thank you all for the compliments. She is very pleased and proud of her work as it is all done with Japanese inks. No mistakes allowed. I still don't know how she does it, but then that's why I could never Dino is a great idea, maybe for Xmas... When she painted it she asked what kind of a Ferrari it was, ahhh, youth Steven, so what is it: #4153GT ....P3 / 412P #0844, I thought it was a P3 Regards, Alberto
#4153GT is the ex Ecurie Francorchamps 250 GTO, the 1964 Tour de France winner, that is said to have sold a few years ago to the US for < $70 million. #0844 was a 1966 Works 330 P3 that was converted into a Customer (NART) 412P for 1967, hence P3/412P. A very successful Prototype that won 2 major races in 1966.
The GTO in question, is then the probable subject of the 1st painting my daughter gifted me, at the top of this thread. Thanks on the clarification P3/412P Regards, Alberto
That it's 250 GTO #4153GT there is no doubt. She captured the essence of the car very well, and also has its licence plate NU 25. Also regarding the painting of P3/412P #0844, she captured all the finer details of the car, and there are a number of them, that identify it as that very car.
It has been 2 years from the GTO to the P3, her style has changed considerably on the newer one. Can't wait to have it in my hands! Regards, Alberto
Thanks guys! The thing is, that she has to finish her birds, orchids, etc. works, as those sell and she can sort of make a living. We tried proposing cars here, only one gentleman commissioned work from her, but that was it. Possibly she had not perfected it quite as 412P , more like in the style of GTO. She's an artist and they all have their artistic swings, changes, etc. plus I know her very well If anybody would like to see her work, she is on instagram: ariannaguirolaillustration Regards, Alberto
Steven, my daughter was flattered that you looked her up. Thanks! Did you get the new Miura book? Amazing it sold out in a blink and a flash! Regards, Alberto
Hello Alberto. Your daughters pictures are great. The Porsche 944 and Ferrari 355 pictures are excellent too. Of course the Dino 246GT picture is fabulous!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Unfortunately I didn't get the Miura book. I was too slow. It's really good by the reviews on Simon Kidston's Instagram page. Perhaps your daughter will paint a picture of a Miura SV in the future? Kind regards, Steve.
Hello Steve, and thank you for the comments and posting Dino! Oddly enough, she chose an unusual angle, not what I expected, as a frontal 3/4 view might have had a different effect. Her perception... On the Miura subject, what do you think is the most appealing view? Regrets on the book, one week, and gone... Kind regards, Alberto
I will ask her. Do you think there might be someone interested? Regards, Alberto Something like this? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
She says she really likes Miura. What would be a good dimension for the paper (canvas)? Regards, Alberto
...amazingly, this car has become a Political and Religious item. Wonders never cease Regards, Alberto
