Friend of mine is making a low budget zombie movie so I volunteered to help sculpt them. These are very very rough...about 3 hours into each of them. Need to finish them up this weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Jerry, I happened to surf by & what amazing works you have! I've been a fan of figurines since young & build+paint my own dioramas & did product design in school. So, I really appreciate your work. Any discount for fellow chatter for buying your sideshow figurines? Take care there & have a nice weekend.
Do you also work on ZBrush, I bought the program and need to learn it now. Never mind went to the previous page and saw that you used it on a model. Very good stuff, I didn't know you did this and only the toy business... I hope to get my chops up to pro level someday.
Okay Zombie #1 finished. Slightly under 12 hours. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

more great work there!! i'm curious, since i don't know that industry of yours at all, but do you just decide on figures you'd like to do, or does it start by a company contacting you to do any inparticular? and so if you pick them yourself, there must be some kind of licensing you'd have to get before hand, is that right?
Yes that is an Ownage output. For the statues Ill try and find a license that has a following but is being under represented in the market and then contact the license holder and negotiate a deal. For example, even though i love Marvel comics characters I dont try for them because there are already so many statues out there. Mortal Kombat, as popular as it is, was strangely under represented in the market. There was nothing out there so as soon as I heard about the new game i jumped on it.
gotcha, so companies rarely, if ever, commission you for work then? except friends zombie movies Lol we have some interest going in historical-sports-documentaries, so i'm just learning now about licensing, and license holders, copy-right images, stock footage use, permissions, etc.
I always get inquires but Im usually too expensive and busy with my own stuff. Sometimes i do it but its usually a friend who needs some help like the zombie thing.
Here is the finished Mortal Kombat Scorpion Statue. It is 16.5"x25"x11.5", will be limited to 700 pcs worldwide and retail for $315usd. Image Unavailable, Please Login
