I just put a deposit down for an F8 allocation and I need to submit my build in the next few weeks. Being that this is my first Ferrari, I am not sure what options I should check off. For example, I currently drive a Porsche GT3 Touring and when researching that car I discovered the front axel lift system is a must have option and really hurts the car on resale if this option is missing. I notice Ferrari has a similar lift system but I am not sure if the Ferrari is as low to the ground as the GT3 and needs this option. Also, for seat options, I am tall and have a bad back so I prefer comfort over looks. Is it a big deal to pass on the racing seats? I know a lot of the selection process is personal preference but I was just curious if there were certain options that are necessary and certain options and exterior/interior colors that should be avoided. FYI, right now I am leaning towards a black or white exterior and one of the 7 red, brown, or beige interior options. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hey There, I have just left the Porsche GT clan. Sold my .2 RS and also ordered a Tributo. I also have a 992 Turbo S. My Turbo S front clearance is approx. 6.25 inches. The RS had about 4 inches and the lift was essental for daily use. I measured the front clearance on 2 Tributos this week. One was about 7 inches and the other was slightly more. The key measurement was the front overhang from the wheel hub to spoiler lip which was signicantly longer on the Tributo (42" vs 36"on Porsche). I never scrape on my Turbo S around town but believe I would with a non-lift Tributo--though borderline.

Net, I ordered the lift for practicality and to avoid any resale limits, as mentioned by the dealer rep.
I see as many cars with comfort vs race seats and it is not a bad decision to order either.
I also ordered Carbon wheel with LEDS for fun and believe that most buyers want also.

Don’t hold back. Just spec everything to your hearts desire. They won’t make a car like this after the F8 run is done.

My Tributo clearance reduces a few inches back from the front edge. It tapers to the front axle. Mine is like 5.75" at the low point. I spec'd the lift. It give peace of mind. I had the lift also on my 458. The F8 seems lower in the front to me. I did not have the lift in my 2012 911 Turbo. I scraped it all the time and when I sold it, it was an issue. You said you would be spec'ng the car out over the next few weeks. Remember the clock on your order does not start till the spec is accepted in Italy. Get as many options as you can afford. IMO.

I have lift but also knew I was going to lower it. I LOVE the passenger display even though I never sit in the passenger seat. I also like carplay, better than spending $5k on radar because I can use waze. Racing seats are a preference for me. Homelink is good for garage door openers if you don't have an app. Upgraded sound is a must. I like the reversed stitching. Carbon fiber driving zone with the steering wheel and the bridge. AFS. Carbon Fiber Inside/Out is all preference, but I did the side splitters, air splitter, rear boot trim. Rear parking Camera with sensor or just sensors...

Lift-yes-otherwise the one time you bottom out you just took $10-15K off the value of your car
CarPlay- had it-used it 3 times-never put it in the next car and don’t miss it. Bluetooth works quite well with Waze etc. if it were standard on the car ok but $5K?
Premium sound system-yes- the standard system is a total embarrassment- better to have a no sound system option than to be subjected to the standard systems clipping at low volume
CF wheel- yes-the shifts lights help to keep the car from hitting the rev limiter because it arrives very quickly!
Comfort seats- yes-I love the full electric- as I like heated seats for winter driving with the top down. As for the racing seats- if they came heated and if I was too tall(currently 6’2” and fit fine) I would get them
Passenger display- no-my wife used it twice & thought it was a cheap gimmick-didn’t get it on the next car and don’t miss it
Surround view- yes- takes all the anxiety out of parallel parking and protecting the cars hart parts

    Hope this helps!

LED steering wheel, SF shields are pretty much the essentials. I prefer the CF race seats on the Mid engine cars. Ext & Int colors are all personal preference after that. No lifter for me, and have not needed it so far..

I’m also a 991 GT3 owner and although I use the lift on that car a lot, I almost never use it on my F8 (and my F8 is lowered on Novitec springs). The car sits much higher in the front than a GT3 (both stock).

Seats – I got comfort (“Sport”) seats in my GT3 because I find the 991 buckets uncomfortable and annoying with no recline or tilt, but the Ferrari seats are perfect IMO, they were a definite must-have for me.

Upgraded stereo is much better than expected – similar to Bose in a GT3.

    Must have options:

    1.) AFS
2.) Carbon Zone LED+ Steering Wheel
    3.) Shields
    4.) Lift System
    5.) JBL Sound System
6.) Front and Rear Parking sensors

Don't do the surround view or active cruise control because it adds dome like cameras on the side view mirrors and a big plastic radar in the middle of the bumper.

Most other options are personal preference. If you're interested in resale I would stick with colors that contrast / compliment each other nicely i.e., red w/beige or couio interior or black on red etc.

I didn’t know that the car could be lowered if it has the lift. Do replacement springs make that possible?

IMO Number option must have is Leather or alcantara roof lining. The OEM stuff is absolutely crap and probably the only real cheap part of a mega dollar Ferrari.

Maybe Ferrari doesnt believe many owners look up ?

There you go my input :)

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between Carbon Fiber Driving Zone or getting the LED Carbon Steering Wheel and Carbon Paddle Shifters separately.
    CIDZ vs. LEDS + CFPA
    Can anyone help me?

CIDZ includes the CF steering wheel with LEDS plus the CF paddles and CF tachometer surrounds. LEDS includes CF steering wheel and LEDS only. CFPA replaces the stock shift paddles with CF paddles that are longer than the ones you get with CIDZ. Hope this helps!

You are unable to add the carbon paddle shifters without optioning the Carbon Fiber Driver Zone. If you go to add the shift paddles with just the carbon wheel, it will make you add the driver zone first.

Hum? My model year 2022 Tributo order lists the CF Driver's Zone (LED/CF steering wheel, CF paddles, CF Tach bezel) as option code CIDL.
