Ferrari: the SF1000 at Mugello returns to 1950's Rosso!

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

To celebrate the 1,000th Grand Prix in Formula 1, Ferrari has decided to dress Leclerc and Vettel's SF1000s in a livery with the Rosso in the shade used in 1950. The historic recall will be one of the distinctive elements of the Tuscan GP which will take place over the weekend. he will compete at Mugello on the track owned by the Cavallino. And let's expect more surprises ...

Ferrari changes color. And go back to the ancient. To remember that red with which the Scuderia had made its debut in the F1 world championship in 1950 at the Monaco GP.

A change of livery that will serve to celebrate the 1000th GP of the Cavallino team: an event that will take place right at Mugello, the track owned by Maranello on the occasion of the GP of Tuscany - Ferrari 1000.

The glorious history of a myth will take over the news (desolating): at Mugello there will be the public for the first time this Covid season, albeit in a limited number (2,800 people a day divided over three stands). Ferrari Club fans are expected after exorbitant ticket prices have been halved.

At the Racing Department they will have to work to prepare the single-seaters for the 1000th GP: Charles Leclerc's bang has certainly disrupted the plans, because before painting the body of the Monegasque it will be necessary to understand if the chassis will have to be repaired or replaced, because the crash at over 220km / h was a major one and could have an impact on its reuse.

Sebastian Vettel seems to have raced in Monza with the body that had been changed, because that of Belgium has already been sent to the body shop to get a new darker color. If nothing else, this disappointing SF1000 will have a reason to be remembered ...

I love this track. It deserves a F1 race.

I drove it virtually in some Ferrari game. It's awesome with all the elevation changes and the many turns.

Given that no team has real experience (Ferrari excluded) on this track, I hope it will be as epic as the first race this year in Spielberg. We'll see. Rain would also help, we're kinda overdue for that this season.

Ferrari should just show the car in the new livery and go back home before they manage to injure one of their drivers!

Yes, take the last vestige of it being a meritorious constructor's series, throw caution to the wind, and do something REALLY STUPID !!

Are they saying that their current car is just ever so slightly faster than their car from the fifties?

This is a wet dream for me. I'm getting verklemmt.

Seriously, I always loved this track and thought it'd be so cool to have a GP here. Well, sometimes dreams come true.

    And then there is Portimao.

Gazzetta reports that only the livery (amaranth red) will change on the Ferrari in Mugello.

"If you were expecting a new aero package that could improve the performance of the SF1000, it's time to put hope aside."

The restrictions of the regulation allow only a few changes and Binotto is looking rather at 2021 and use the "tokens" in the view of next year. The SF1000 will not change anymore until the end of the season, except for minor details.

On the engine front, Ferrari is already working on a new power unit that will hopefully give the desired results.

Again I don't understand what aero engineers have done since last year ?
    Pretty nothing I would say.
Ferrari looks like a Soviet Union factory ( not mig or sukhoi )
