Not that it matters too much but have just been out for a day trip to Bath with the wife (Sunday) in the 360. The tank was full to start with. Covered 290 miles of mainly motorway mileage.
Re filled the tank with 56 litres of Shell V-power at £1.339 p /litre. Unless I’m mistaken that’s 12.3 gallons divided by the 290 miles meaning I’ve achieved 23.5MPG..?? Can someone tell me if I’m right.!!

no way thats possible - tank is approx 24 gallons. 290miles/23 gallons is 12 MPG

Best I’ve achieved was 18.8 mpg on a single tank during a road trip.
I’ve come close to that only a handful of times.

Average over nine years is 14.01 mpg.

That's 12l/100km which is about 23mp imperial gallon

    Your calculations are correct.

I get even more than that from my spider on a long motorway run at a steady 80 or so I've been known to average closer to 30mpg
My Corvette was the same, a large unstressed V8 engine on continual light throttle load isn't the gas guzzler the media portrays.

    You are correct circa 23mpg.

Personally at that fuel economy you were not trying hard enough. Should be down in the low teens :D

No we are not saying its 12 gallon tank. He left with a full tank, drove 290 miles and then put 12 gallons back in to get a full tank.

I get 23-24mpg on a good easy run. Low teens other than that!
I think the tank is 90 litres so just under 20 UK gallons.

Do bear in mind the fuel gauge is not accurate (I assume the tank is an irregular shape) so you will get a lot more miles one the 1st half of the tank than the 2nd

This is the typical 360 Modena air to fuel ratios map, some models have different maps, depending on geographical region, sports exhaust, etc. RPM revs across x axis and percentage of throttle on the y axis.

You can see here the green area is the most fuel efficient mappings. So if you keep your throttle within the green areas you'll get the best mpg... I. E. Stay below 5,000 rpm and approx 56% throttle ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
