I am moving to Norman for Law School... after having been actively involved in the Ferrari community in Utah for the past few years, I would love to stay involved.

Anyone in the OK City or Norman area please PM me.

Don't know about Ferrari's there, but you will love Norman, it's a great college town.
Well, it was back when Barry Switzer was the football coach...

Once you're here, keep your eyes peeled for either the F430, Gallardo Spyder, LP640 or SLR 722. We drive them all the time, sometimes in pairs!

    Welcome to Norman!

    Chuck,
You need to road trip it up to Winfield (under 2 hours). We need to try get a drive/lunch together. A couple of us have Lamborghinis and other cars here but is it always nice to meet someone new and fairly close.

Aside from that fabulous collection, Oklahoma is unquestionably an Exotic car desert. I think the local Ferrari club has disbanded, never hear from them anymore.

    Scott,

Thanks for jumping on that. Of course, Scott, you know you are welcome to attend a few of our events. After all, you pay the dues-you have the right. (Just kidding)

    Bull,

Scott’s right. The Arkansas-Oklahoma Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America (part of the South Central Region, FCA) has about 35 members in both states, most of them in Oklahoma, split about equally between Tulsa and OKC. Our last three events of the 2007 season are tours of two members’ car collections and a Brazilian GP watch party. Every event includes food (usually lunch). Previously, this year, we had an Enzo Ferrari’s Birthday Party at Pete’s Place in Krebs, we toured the Napoleon exhibit at the OKC Museum of Art, we had our annual rally through central Oklahoma and two watch parties at members’ homes. I am always open to ideas on events.

If anyone is interested, please PM me.

    Tom,
    President, A-OK Chapter, FCA

HAHA you're right, my 4yr old is cramping my style right now, but I will for sure be at Toly's on July 22nd. I used to live right down the street from his house and have always been curious about his cars.

    Scott,

Good news. I've almost forgotten what you look like. I understand about the young lad, though.

Seriously, Toly's going to have the gathering catered by the Brasserie! I'll have to wear some of the new clothes I bought last week. Maybe he'll talk one of his better-known racing buddies into visiting.

    See you there.

True, tucked away is the problem.

Anyway I had a 348 but switched to Diablo's. The last drive I went with the Ferrari guys....I think it was a Krebs run a couple of years ago, I couldn't get them over the speed limit! Ha. Had to run off and leave them. :)

CHUCKD, I live in moore but work in norman at Marc Heitz Chevrolet. I have seen all your cars numerous times and talked to you before at a health food store by the Brookhaven plaza actually next that car wash across from the CVS. I was asking you two if you had gone to the italian carfest in Grapevine. Anyways, you have great cars and i can't quit smiling everytime i see any of them. Mall incident? I guess everything is ok now? I also saw a Red 430 coupe a couple months back around the Brookhaven area and a black Carrera GT same area, what are the odds. Any idea who they are?

The LP's all fixed up, and the girl who did it has to pay restitution and has a 2 year deferred sentence and attend aggression control training! I'm not holding my breath waiting on the $8K restitution, however.

I've heard of the other 430 coupe, but not the CGT (someone told me they thought it was a black 430). I don't know who they belong to though. There are quite a few of these tucked away in different garages, however. For example, Toby Keith used to have a 360 not too long ago.

I do know of two different Ford GT's around here (one in the city, one in Norman).

    Tom,

Our chapter in Kansas City has nearly 60 members, our schedule has over 27 events this year with Crescent Classic obviously being the largest event (it is now the largest Ferrari event in the midwest). There is a great article about Crescent Classic in this months Forza Magazine!

I am glad to hear there is a Oklahoma- Arkansas Chapter as my emails have gone unanswered when I have tried to get your Chapter involved with Crescent Classic.

Participation is the key and it seems only natural that you should participate in the biggest event in your area.

I grew up in Tulsa and I understand the problem of the OKC-Tulsa distance, if there is anything our chapters could do jointly we would love to do it.

We have several registrations from Oklahoma and Arkansas now for Crescent Classic, but yours is not one of them and we would love to have you there.

    Hope to meet you soon!

    Chris Parr
    FCA-KC Chapter President

    Crescent Classic Chairman

We take ours to Boardwalk Ferrari in Dallas. We don't really have a lot of options around here, and that's easily the closest Ferrari dealer. Shouldn't be too bad from Lawton, I wouldn't think.
