right you are going to have remove the two decks, then the two cross bars from the four posts, basically reverse assemble it. Going to need to track down the assembly instructions.

I'm in the process of moving.

Sold my old house on Jan 1. Am in a rental house until the new house is complete in Sept.

I have a 4-post lift that had to go into storage until the new house is complete.

I called the company I bought from (Derek Weaver) and they recommended 3-4 contractors to disassemble and move my lift to storage. Cost me $300 to move to a UHAUL type storage. When the new house is done, I'll pay the same to move it and re-assemble.

I purchased a used 4 post commercial hoist for $500.00, from a muffler shop a few years back. The seller said he would move my new 4 post hoist and set it up for $100.00. I thought this was one hell of a bargain. He told me he would have the hoist at my car barn in a little over an hour, then about 15 minutes to hook it up. All he asked was the space cleared for the hoist.

He called me a few blocks away from my barn and asked if I was ready, I told him yes. A few minutes later he drives up with the 4 post hoist fully assembled strapped on the back of his Chevrolet 1 ton flat bed truck. He backed down my drive way and placed the hoist in the required spot, hooked up the power and then proceeded to lower the 4 posts down to the ground then once they were set he keep on running the pump which raised the rails off the bed of his truck. Then he drove out from under. Hoist placed and all we had to do was to secure it to the floor. I don't think it took him 15 minutes from the time he arrived until he rolled out of my driveway.

Still using it today. This is the type you drive on then raise the car. Once up if you need to do wheel or chassis work, there are 2 I beams front to back to support the vehicle while you are able to lower the drive on ramps to the floor. Older but well built and works like a charm.

    just sayin'
