Mounting Alternator Heat Shield?

    Were so close to finishing up an alternator job weve been working for a week. were down to the last step, installing the heat shield, but for the life of us we cant remember how it mounts. Could anyone tell me how its oriented in relation to the car? THe way its facing in the pic is the way we think it should go in, but were stumped. Add to that, theres also the L bracket sitting next to it in the picture that I dont for the life of me remember where it came from. I assume its part of the mounting system, but i dont remember.

    it certainly pays to take pictures BEFORE you take things apart haha
