Seppy, your home is looking fantastic. The views are epic. I may be up there in a few weeks for a driving weekend and hope to go check it out.

I can't believe it's been over a year since I started this thread. Well, I'm happy that work is finally underway. I will post pics from time to time of the progress if anyone's interested. Of course the architectural stuff is all done but I would still love further interior design ideas.

Would love to see any pics as the building is going on. It is very interesting to see a unique house as it is gradually going up. As far as interior design, the world is wide open as far as a mountain home is concerned... you can go rusty, modern, mountain modern, rustic- modern mix, and so forth. There are so many materials available and so many choices it can be over whelming. We used an interior designer to help us get started but eventually phased her out as we started doing more of our own research. Its a fun process, so make sure you enjoy the journey.. as nice as it is to have the house done, and do miss the excitement of seeing our ideas gradually being implimented and coming together.

Custom mountain homes just take forever to complete. There's winter that lasts a real long time, everything has to be shipped in from god knows where, and everyone on the crew lives 2 hours away. It is still worth the wait, post all the pictures that you can, it's an exciting process.
