This is virtual picture of a house we area currently building in breckenridge, on a ridge ovelooking the Jack Nicklaus golf course and 360degree mountain views. We researched all of the architects in the summit county , eagle - vail area and found Endrada Design Group to be the best. They have been a joy to work with, being both very creative and practical. They also have helped greatly in the interior design details. They are husband and wife team that I would very highly recommend. As a bonus, they were far more reasonably priced than the other architects in the area... Please PM for more details if you would like.... their web site is Discoverendrada.com seppy s Image Unavailable, Please Login
speaking of bears - i left the garage door open one nite here in the foothils of the rockies - was surprised the next morning to see that he must have like the 308... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, no. You see...they call them "mountain homes" because they're supposed to be built on a mountain, not that the home resembles a mountain. Beyond impressive!
Here are a few shots of the house we just finished building in The Club at Spanish Peaks, it's next to the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky Montana. Most of the exterior is stone and reclaimed lumber, in the interior we used reclaimed for the floors, trusses, reflected ceiling and finish details. Very nice modern - mountain style and decor, old and new....love the views...is it your house or did you build to sell or for someone else...what is the sq ft...looks massive....
It's our house, we built it for ourselves, it reallly isn't all that large; 6,600 including the basement, it's only four bedrooms and four baths, all the space is in the living area. Two interesting numbers- 9,000 square feet of radiant heated floors (it includes the 3 car garage) and a 3,000 bottle wine cellar.
sounds amazing!!! Any pictures of the wine cellar??? Is that a 4 car garage??? Radiant heated floors are the best type of heat!!! and 9000 ft is a great deal of tubing and gypscreate!!!
I was up there in late June for Porsche Parade but haven't gotten to play the course yet. If you saw a yellow Carrera GT, 993turbo, Ariel Atom and Aston Vantage going up and down Tiger Road, that was us.
Here are three shots of the wine cellar- one with the sliding bookcase in front of the door, the door open and one of the inside, and one of the front of the house. All of the wood, except for the horizontal siding is reclaimed, the wood painted white on the front doors is douglas fur that came out of a warehouse in Idaho and is about 125 years old. We left it painted white because it looks kind of unique- we can always take the paint off later if we decide we don't like it, but if we had taken the paint off we could have never put it back on the was it looks today; all banged up and gouged and scratched. We bought the doug fur and all of the redwood before we ever started construction, knowing that we would find a use for all of it. When you come across this stuff you have to grap it 'cause it won't still be there when you need it. We got a good price on the redwood and before we ever got it shipped from the broker someone offered us twice what we paid for it. It's only a three car garage, not four. The doors are all reclaimed barn wood from a barn in Eastern Montana that was being torn down. 9,000 sq ft is a lot of tubing and gypcrete, it's also a lot of plumbing, there are fourteen zones in the house and they are all homeruns from the basement. The main source of heat for the house is geothermal (one of the advantages of being 20 miles north of Yellowstone), we only use propane as a backup for heating and for hot water. I did see your group as we were out at the end of that week...lots of great cars and porsches in summit county...I actually saw your group of cars on several occassions, very interesting mix of cool cars......love the yellow on the CGT!!!
Thanks! Did you see me getting a ticket in it? One of Summit County's finest caught me on Swan Mountain Road coming from Keystone back to Breck. He wasn't buying any of my "But Officer..." excuses. I'll be back up there for a couple of weeks at Christmas and will be on the watch for your stunning home.
Cant believe they were given tickets with all those great sports cars in town...that stinks...Swan mountain road has a pretty good twisty downhill thats pretty fast on a bicycle, I can imagine flying down in a sports car!!! Our house wont be ready until march, but we should be around late spring and a few weeks during the summer, so stop by for a drink....seppy s
The house is only about 70% done by I will pull up a few constructions pictures later this weekend....
Even though we doubled it in size, it is still very small. We call it our Gypsum-board free zone. The only materials used are wood, steel, stone and glass (all the way down to the hand forged screws). Image Unavailable, Please Login
