Sorry but the older “vintage” technology is what makes an older Ferrari so cool. I would never mod my 575. I am a stock OEM guy.
Cool product. But these cars are good enough. When making upgrades like this, one have to take into considderation that the rest will look more outdated. Better to keep everything the same old style tech which is good enough.
@F456M, I don't disagree but I also think that some mods can be okay to update the look of a Maranello without going overboard. I've wondered about LED taillights for our cars, and as long the quality is there (these look good, IMO, and appear to be of good quality) I'd consider trying them on my 550. What the heck, it's only money, these look to be basically "plug n' play" and therefore easily reversible if one doesn't like the results or you want to sell your car.
I agreed and love original BUT I will probably purchase an 355 in futur ( But I need one of mine before ) and this tail light look teriffic and can be remove easly, no ?
I don't disagree at all. It is only one way to find out. Let me know how it goes. Would be cool to see a car with then on!
Agree, they look nice, but not quite convinced that they fit with the rest of the car. Fitting upgraded lights under the standard lenses however could well be a worthwhile upgrade...Won't change the look but would make the lights brighter.
I prefer the Scuding solution https://www.scuding.com/Shop/fr/solutions-ilual-pour-feux-arriere/98-ilual36-led-rear-lights-usa.html
It looks cool with four red circles. I agree on that. Wonder why Ferrari never did that when there are four red circles anyways...
Wow, ummm, I just put them on yesterday . Obviously keeping the originals in a safe place but I like projects and they work great. Easy to install but a little time consuming. I've had my car for over 8 years and I wanted to do some things other some carbon bits. I'll post pics if anyone wants them.
Yes, I would love to see what they look like from different angles, and with the lights on (also from different angles).
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login They are certainly modern and brighter, but to me, they don't dismiss the period and style. Meh, it's my car.
Nobody but the lunatic fringe like us has a clue how old these Ferraris are. Those lights look great.
I have been looking but have not found a newer replacement. Do you know of such an animal. Morimoto will be producing better headlamps soon as well.
IMHO the best exterior upgrades for the 355 are Euro white turn signals, white side markers, and wheel upgrade. Next upgraded brakes front/rear. My favorite wheel for the 355 hands down is the Hamann PG series. What wheels are you running?
I still have the stock but I am on the hunt. It's become a real PITA because the wheel vendors require me to take many measurements before they'll make the wheels. The offset seems to be the problem and the bolt pattern is not real common. The Hamann's are not made any more and they come 19" wheels, which changes the ride....IMO.
If you want 18s then yes there are not a lot of great options without spending $$$ for rare vintage wheels or custom new wheels. The best 18 of course (subjectively) being the magnesium challenge wheels. While I hear you about 19s, truth is the tire selection is better on 19s. A high end modern tire on a lightweight 19 is just as a good as average tire on standard 18.
Given that the 550M/575M is my favorite vehicle of all time, I've so kept an eye out for a Morimoto tail light install. These 575M pictures come courtesy of a shop in the Northeast (name escapes me) Love the way these look on the 575M.
