Anyone attending the Morgan Adams event next weekend?
I'll also be volunteering once again at MA. And my Dino will make another appearance. Here is a pic from a few MA's ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anyone know if it is frowned upon to get photos of the vehicles before they drive into the actual airport? Would like to get photos of all the cars that go. I need to get a Press Pass to some of these events to be a photographer...
Its a public road, and a free country last I checked. I would hate to think of car collectors getting upset at someone taking a picture or video of their car. But I could be wrong. Just my opinion...
That's what I was thinking. Just like at Automezzi we filmed everyone coming in. Thought it would be fun to to Morgan Adams too. Does anyone know what time people are supposed to start showing up/set up?
I'll be there with a car again this year. It's a great cause and great organization. Ron, if you need help with that erector set of yours, hit me up. I've been known to be able to put together things with chains and gears from time to time.
Ryan, this car is much simpler than your carbon fiber 21 speeds I'm sure. The tools are similar if on a slightly different scale. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, here is the entire running gear. The first photo shows the clutch and drive shaft. In the second photo you can see where the drive shaft enters the front of the bevel box which looks a little like a differential. All the bevel box does is provide the final drive ratio and convert the drive from longitudinal to transverse. You can also see the four forward speeds, each with it's own chain drive. The shift lever moves "dog" clutches to engage each of the four chains, one at a time. The sprockets to the right of the photo are at the rear of the car and are mounted solidly to the rear axle. There is no differential so one of the rear tires is always sliding a little. Great fun at speed. Yes, I will be co-driving the car in the Grand this year.
