Anyone have experience with either of these brands?

I have searched and read all the other threads concerning lifts, but no one mentioned either of these 2 brands.

Looking for a 2-post for a new garage I'll be building.

    Hello,
I have 3 two posts in the shop. The 2 outer lifts are Forward 10K asemetric lifts. The center lift is a Bend Pak 10K asemetric. The Forward lifts were about 3200. delivered to my shop. The Bend Pak was on sale for about 2500 delivered. My opinion is that the Forward lifts are superior in quality and design than the Bend Pak. The Bend Pak is a good lift, but for the money the Forward is a better lift. I have used these lifts everyday for seven years in a non stop work enviroment and have had no problems with the Forwards at all. I had to replace the cables on the Bend Pak once. I have not heard of the two lifts you are asking about. If you want a quality lift and are not too concerned about price I would buy a Rotary. I believe the 9-10K lifts are about 4500. I have used them in other shops and they are smooth as a baby's arse. The Rotary will be my next two post lift choice for the 4 new bays going in next door. Get the Rotary, it will be the only lift you will ever need to buy. I installed all my lifts myself including the 4 post. So when it comes time and if you want to do it yourself feel free to ask questions. Hope this helps.

I have a "Pro-Park 7" 7,000 lb capacity 4 post lift. It is manufactured by Direct-Lift. I use it to keep my Mondial above my children's bicycle handlebars, if you know what I mean. I am very happy with it and the price was very reasonable.

Only had one (very minor) problem: When I first assembled it it made a horrible groaning sound when it went up. Sounded like the whole thing was about to come crashing to the ground. I called tech support, who were very helpful.

The problem was a hydraulic condition called "stick-slip". Not hazardous, just noisy as all heck. Apparently it also affects backhoes and other hydraulic powered equipment. The cure was to add 1 quart of hydraulic oil additive sold through Catepillar dealers. Smooth as silk now. Only the buzz of the pump now, going up. Going down is near silent.

I see you're looking for a two post. I went with the four because I wanted the ability to move it (but I haven't yet). Also, I just can't put enough faith in those few anchor bolts into the garage floor slab to be comfortable. I also use mine mostly as a "parking solution" rather than a full-on service lift.

Another lift to consider is Autolift. Mine is a two post and it is my favorite tool in my shop. There are six 3/4" bolts holding the column to the concrete and I welded nuts to a piece of c channel and planted it into 24" thick, 3' x 12' block of concrete. Very nice units and the safety interlocks are on the outside of the column. The 8 ton version with extra long arms (for british sports cars) cost $2300 to my door. Good luck!
