i doubt anyone here wants to spend six figure defending a title issue. GA Dept of Rev... one, twice and then again on sunday you'll notice than tarkenton 308 on BaT being sold on consignment from an atlanta owner with a montana tag did i upload the memo from the DoR to the DMV when this all broker out? i forget
You were above board as we say across the board The individuals who are using the tax scam are not And they know it Hats off to you You are what this country needs
sigh. Again and again. the answer is YES. Every day. All the time. You just don't like it. States can and do tax corporations and residents of other states every day, all the time. Its not even a question (except to you).
please enlighten us (and provide any real case precedent) that precludes states from taxing the assets and activities of corporations and residents of other states? I know you don't like it, and will continue to tilt at your windmills, but sales tax, property tax and income tax are assessed by every state, every day, on assets and operations of entities that are legally and/or physically headquartered and domiciled in other states. Trillions of transactions. Every day. This is not even a question.
I was once demanded by the state of Kentucky, to produce proof that I'd paid sales tax on a car that I'd bought in Florida 6 years prior - and failing proof, to pay that tax to Kentucky. Sans proof, no license plate. Play "theoretical" if you wish, but you'll not win when standing in line at the DMV.
You’re not going to fix this guy Your wasting your time and bandwidth needlessly These are the people who believe we didn’t land on the moon !

Oh, please. The last refuge is insults. Despite what you say, this is NOT a slam-dunk, case closed argument. So, stop acting like it is. There are issues presented by this case that simply have been glossed over. That said, I have said several times this is not an easy argument to win. CW
what's there to argue about ? you live in your state, you have a valid drivers license in that state, you work in that state you should have the car you drive licensed in that state its clear pay the taxes on the vehicle and that's it Lori and those who paid someone to get their dumb kids into schools they were not eligible for felt the same
Yes, he is wrong, there are intelligent people who do cheat. Without speaking for him, I think what he meant is thinking people know better than to cheat. The way I would put it is ethical people don't cheat, nor do they devise rationalizations to justify cheating. Intelligence has nothing to do with it.
I know people that have Montana registration here in TX. For years. This is not science fiction. Wealthy smart people. Perhaps California is " cracking down" but the method is still used here for tax avoidance.
Its been said that Amazon pays next to nothing in taxes. Legally through using the existing or created laws. Never met him but I'm assuming Bezos is not stupid.
This exactly. You cant get angry with the individual who is just playing by those rules that were drafted by YOUR elected officials. Get those officials to change the tax codes and maybe those loopholes go away.... You know that's dreaming right? Why? Because those officials benefit from those same loopholes.
To Caesar Romero's brother & all other preachers: Quick show of hands how many of you submit(ted) sales taxes to your state of residence when buying goods on line since advent of internet . . . . . crickets
Yep! Tho the more relevant question is how much I minimize buying online and instead buy local! SV Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
