In Taylor and Campbell's Mondial Buyer's Guide, they mention that 3.2s need metric tires. I was under the impression that only 8s and QVs used metric tires. In Forza magazine's Mondial Buyer's Guide, they only mention the latter two needing metric and not the 3.2s. What's the real story?

    Thanks.

    The story:
Early 3.2s had metric, late 3.2s had 16".
Both spec wheels are exactly the same style, with the difference is the 16" is slightly larger in diameter. The late 3.2s and t's have the same nonmetric tires.

My 88.5 Mondial Cab has regular non-metric sized tires.
I just replaced the originals with Mich pole positions front and rear and am really pleased with the results.

I own a Mondial QV with metric wheels and it was cheaper to buy a set of 17" 348 wheels with tires on eBay than to replace the metric tires. Only Coker has the right tires for the metric Mondial rims now, and they are over $400 EACH. Take that into account when buying a Mondial.
