Since the mondial t has the same engine as the 348, does that mean the high maintenance for upkeep on the 348 will be similar if not the same to maintian the mondial?

The 3.4 liter engine is the same configuration as the 348, so maintenance could be very similar for the two versions.

I have heard rumblings that some of the Mondial cabs have an access hole between the rear seats that can be used for a "engine in" belt service though.

With that said I personally do not think that a Mondial T is "high maintenance" anyhow. Sure you should do a belt service now & then like most any Ferrari, but cripes, the car is worth the effort and expense.

The rest of the time they can be just "gas & go" great cars.
