I think these gold wheels look good. They remind me of something you might see on a 70’s Ferrari race car.

Same here! I love the gold wheels! Before my 3.2 Coupe appeared, I had almost given up on finding one and was starting to look at QV Coupes as well. I was hoping to find a red one and put the gold, replica 16" wheels on it instead of the metric rims. I thought they would add a cool, vintage look to the car.

It would be fun to have a beater QV Coupe with the gold wheels to run around in.

I like the look of the gold on a black car, however the offset on the ones in that video makes them stick out from the wheel arches. Kind of a Honda ricer look in my opinion.

Some flared arches and livery could help with that ;-)

Definitely! Curious if anyone has done that to a Mondial? Wouldn't want to do it to a nice car, but perhaps one of the high mile low dollar examples might make a cool project?

I'm not a fan of the offset either. Those actually look like 308/328 wheels versus Mondial wheels.

Actually doesn't look too bad if you ignore the wheels sticking out so much.

Did anyone else notice the huge amount of rear camber on this car?? Owner must be used to air cooled 911's...…. ;)

    Regards,
    Jerry

That one was driven by the dad of current world championship Nico rosberg...who he himself was an F1 champion too. I got to hang out with Stefan Johansson and asked him about his thoughts about the Mondial. He said it's all about the driver.

They both did not finish due to tires (not the car failing)

I will post qualification lap times below

    Here are my thoughts:

    https://mondialt.com/2016/12/04/the-moneytron-mondials/

Keep in mind the 3.2s got beat by 89 spec cars. The t was already out, so having 6th best lap time (out of 38 cars) in its class with a 4-year previous generation older car is quite an accomplishment in my opinion.

the first place 1988 944 Turbo S was 4% faster than then the 1985 3.2 spec Mondial.

Would have been cool to see what the 1989 't' would have done. I think it would have shaved off at least 2-3 % of the lap time coming in at the very least second out of all the cars in that class for Le Mans.

Mondial coming in second in its class at Le Mans? Impossible! Don't you know, it's the slowest Ferrari of all time!?!

Notice the Mondial's QV's PEP adjustment in real-world UK tracking. Cars like the 512BB and Daytona have same handicap.
amazing shot, what a beautiful photo!

Took the Mondial to Griot's Garage Caffeine & Gasoline open house and car show on Saturday. It was a beautiful day for a drive and got a chance to stretch her legs on a secluded highway afterwards. Saw triple digits for the first time in my 3 months of ownership and the car felt great, extremely stable, running strong and begging for more, but common sense prevailed.
