At what pressure does a 1984 Mondial oil pressure switch operate?

What is an oil pressure switch? Under what circumstances does one wish to turn off oil pressure?

.7 bar, maybe? There's a switch for the light and a sender for the gauge, IIRC. The light should NOT be on anytime the engine is running, even with the gauge reading on the extreme left side at hot idle. The most common failure mode is leaking around the crimped joint around the composite section between the mounting hex and the connector.

I believe it is between 5-10PSI the switch makes which turns on the low oil pressure light.

I don't know off the top of my head, but the switch will have a mark on it... either in BAR or PSI or Kpa....

Yeah, about 10-12 psi I would guess.
