At the Ferrari site of the Paris Auto Show in 2003 among the Ferraris featured were two new Enzo Ferraris (Red and Yellow) and a 456M GT (s/n 128776) , bi-colore. The exterior was Nero Daytona, with a titanium silver top (Grigio Alfieri) , and a red Bordeaux interior. Does anyone know what became of this beautiful 456M featured in Paris?
Probably not the Paris car, but I've just recently seen 2 Bicolore 456's for sale. I'll see if I can dig them up again. Just out of curiosity, any one know how many Bicolore's were built and what were the possible colour combinations?
Simon - There were 1,338 456M's built by Maranello between 1998 and 2003, when production ended. Of these 650 were 456M GTA's and 688 were 456M GT's. The "Bicolore Scaglietti" programme was introduced by Ferrari at the Geneva show in 2002. One of the new Bicolore 456M's was presented to Michael Schumacher by the company. This doesn't answer your question but provides numerical insight. I purchased a 2003 bicolore 456M GT in 2003, identical to the one featured in Paris in 2002. Thus, my question. Merci beaucoup!
I meant to say the Mondial de l'Automobile - 2002. The Paris Auto Show was held in September 2002, not 2003, s'il vous plait!
Neal, please show us a picture of your bicolore 456. I never saw one, only know the BBR model of MS's car. Thanks, Roel
This is one of the cars I saw for sale http://www.autoscout24.ch/AS24Web/Detail.aspx?wl=1&lng=fra&id=2683516

If you look at FORZA magazine in issue #38 (June 2002) on page four you will see a 456M GT that looks exactly like the one you have posted. Maybe it's the same Ferrari. The 456M GT in FORZA is an exact duplicate of the car Maranello designed for the one-and-only M. Schumacher. Neal K. Williamsville, N.Y.
The body of the 456M is black metallic (metalizatto, Nero Daytona). The top is titanium (Grigio Alfieri), as are the side-view mirrors and wheels. Thanks for your questions. Neal K. New York.
This is the 456M GT at its position at the 2002 Paris show, adjacent to a red Enzo. I had Ferrari duplicate this 2+2 for my order. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Simon. I am thoroughly enjoying my 456M GT and receive compliments all the time. Many thanks to Maranello for the fantastic job they did with the Bicolore Scaglietti.
Great stuff Peter. Is this a recent purchase? I remember seeing Schumachers old car (sorry, your car ) for sale at one of the dealers in the Geneva are a few years ago. Great looking 456
