    See the attached.

BTW, do you have the Mondial 8 / QV workshop manual? Section H has a lot of details.

I am working with an earlier wiring diagram and it is looking like some of the wire coors are different but according to what I see the heater control valve gets its signal from the Bosch control unit pictured here.
The valve itself appears to be inside the blower assembly (of course).

No, the valve is outside of the box. See item #4.

@Wade...I have a wiring diagram and parts manual for an 84. No repair manual. The resistance chart was posted in the thread you mentioned. I measured the sensors removed from the system.
The car lives in Florida and wouldn't be terrible if the heat valve was closed permanently. This is costing a lot to repair.

Permanently closed can end up causing internal corrosion with the heater core (no coolant flow), and then leakage.

But yeah, not a high priority.

Last resort. It took some doing but I located and removed the heater control valve. During a bench test it did not close completely.

because of not having closed completely (or even correctly) for many years... corrosion ?

David, do you need the correct wiring diagramm for a 3.2 , it's much different from the 84 (QV) diagramm ?
If so, please PM me with your personal EMail address, that I can send you a pdf file.

I would like to try to 'correct' the wiring for the end relay (brown) connection. However, it's mightly tight for me to fit into that space! Is there a known way to remove the connectors? I can unclip the end connector from the metal holder but the wires are too short for me to do much. I'm guessing that they will have to come out together?
