Greetings, I want to replace the door speakers of my 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena. I have the standard stereo system with the Becker-Ferrari , CD changer in the trunk and two door speakers with twitters at the top. I want to confirm with you that the correct part is : 188607 (it says Valid for cars with Radio amplifier) Alternative there is also a part : 65865100 (Not valid for cars with Radio amplifier) so my guess is that this part is for cars that have the big subwoofer between the driver-passenger seats and the external amplifier.. Am I right? For standard audio system is this 188607 the correct speaker ? And now comes availability... Where is the best location to find them ? Thanks !! Makis
Actually, you have it backwards. The "radio amplifier" system is the two small speakers between the seats and the 60 Watt booster hanging underneath the dash. Regarding replacement door speakers, I looked on fleaBay and found one in the U.S., one in Canada, two without grills in the U.S. and a couple overseas. All used. Good luck finding NOS. You may want to consider this system from Scuderia Audio: https://scuderiaaudio.com/product/360-focal-6-5-plug-play-system/
Thank you for your reply !! So you are saying that for the Standard Sound System (Becker/Ferrari Stereo without subwoofer between seats) in the 360 Modena I need the 65865100 (Not valid for cars with Radio amplifier) ? Can someone confirm this is the case, so I don't make a mistake in the order ? Thanks !

Mike is a highly respected forum sponsor for years and has many satisfied customers. If he is telling you something audio, believe it 100%
Got it !! You are right.. So my car is 65865100 (Not valid for cars with Radio amplifier) , since it does not have Radio Amplifier... Thanks again for clarifying !!
The OEM speakers in the door are terrible quality. I replaced them a few months ago with some Focals The stock ones had the surrounds falling apart. So I didn't have to cut the wiring harness, I took the plugs off of the stock speakers and soldered them to the new ones so I could keep the factory plugs. I tried to find the Ferrari OEM speakers from : Scuderia Car Parts Eurospares Ferrari Dealer and everyone told me this part has been discontinued... So I have to find a solution like yours. They recommended Hertz or Pioneer speakers. Focal also look amazing. Besides soldering the connection, did you have to do any other modifications ? Feel free to post links for speakers that are compatible / fit the 65865100 Ferrari part... Thanks !!!
To the OP: If you want a nice speaker set in your Modena without cutting a sliver of metal out of each door and without needing to mount the speaker way off center and without needing to cut the original speaker connector off of either the original speaker or the original wiring, may I suggest that you take a look at this kit: https://scuderiaaudio.com/product/360-audison-6-5-plug-play-system/ If you want even better sound and don't mind cutting into the metal in your doors, look at this kit: https://scuderiaaudio.com/product/360-focal-6-5-hyper-directional-component-system/
I have replaced all speakers with Mike’s setup from Scuderia Audio. The sound quality, clarity and bass (upgraded with the super bass sub and enclosure) is absolutely incredible and everything looks 100% stock. He’s one of the best vendors I’ve dealt with, and I recommend him and his solutions! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Sorry for late reply, I used the Focal Access 165 CA1 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speaker They sound great, but like @SoftwareDrone said I had to trim the door metal frame a bit to make it fit as the magnet and basket are large. I would also recommend Scuderia Audio if you don't want to cut metal or solder, and don't mind paying a bit more. I got a stereo adapter from him and he was super cool and easy to deal with.
