Their best hitter last year was JD davis and he was so terrible with houston that we dumped him after years, I dont think there is 1 everyday starter on the mets that would start for the astros outside ramos and maybe alonso and thats a maybe as gurriel is a great hitter.

Yah that's a horrible idea. I suggested years ago they should have a home run derby contest if a game goes more than 11 innings to find the winner. No one wants to stay at a game past midnight and its disappointing to many who might only go to one game a year and not see the outcome.

For starters, the season lasts just 60 games instead of 162. In addition, we’ll now see (if you’re like me, thankfully) the designated hitter in the National League. We’ll also see runners on base to start extra innings in an attempt to keep teams from busting pitching staffs in extra-long affairs. The new rules and uncertainty with COVID-19 will make this “an extremely tough” season to handicap, according to David Main, BetMGM’s head of US sports trading. Anybody else watch the opening ceremonies of this game (I was curious) totally ridiculous, especially the PA announcer growling and elongating every Nat's player like he just scored a goal in the Stanley Cup. Silly. Esp. since there was no one in the stands to hear him.
Espn is the worst! What has happened to these people? Its opening day and they spend more time talking about "current events" than the play. Its freakin' opening day! People are sick and tired of "current events". They want an escape. I look forward to the Fox national game this weekend. CGI crowds fill the stands. Should be kinda fun.
You know he was a pretty good athlete when he was younger. I think he played basketball. He still jogs every day in his 70's.
I still have no Dodger baseball in parts of LA. In fact my cable company even cut off MLB TV. Thank heavens for the internet.
