Joe, this info I knew, I have neither pictures nor more recent information about these cars, thats why I asked. the newest info on #5070: 5/2003- Car is in France, acquired recently by private owner.
Thanks for pointing to the search function, did you do it yourself? I did and that's exactly the reason of my question...
Nice pic of two Miuras (not mine) http://chivethethrottle.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/random-t-01_31_14-920-30.jpg
Agree. In those series of photos, even the side view cruising on the road, the earlier car wins on aesthetics. As to whether it drove as well as the SV, well that's another question.
I drove them both that day 10 years ago, back-to-back within minutes. The SV was a far more confidence-inspiring drive, in every way. Of that, there really is no question.
3168 is still looking great with its current owner in Texas, and even made it on the cover of the Lamborghini Club magazine a year ago when it led 50 Lamborghinis on a lap around the Circuit of the Americas. Much of the GM design center changes have been removed however so it is more original to factory. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Excitement is a good thing when it can be brought on predictably. They are all great cars, but anyone who has driven several early cars, then several SVs, will immediately see what all the fuss is about.
Couldn't disagree more strongly. Both look great but the SV has so much more presence. Whilst as a standalone the earlier cars are great but when you see them alongside an SV they look like something is missing. To me at least the SV is the finished package, the real deal.
On that note, a few SV images for our viewing pleasure, as if to underscore the point. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Website miurasvj.com use this picture for the Adrian Conan Doyle car #3480. See here: Lamborghini Miura N 3480
What looks more like a Red Miura than another Red Miura ?... The picture of #3168 taken outside shown in the file of Miura #3480 is an error - it should join the file of #3168 on www.miura-svj.com. All other pictures of #3480 seem to be correct.
Are you sure about this? The Miura in Texas has 73 stamped all over it.. engine stamped: 1442.. chassis plate: 3186.
Yes, its 3186, simple typo, sorry! I ought to know better than quoting chassis numbers without referring to my notes! 3186 was sold by Joe Sackey Classics LLC from the owner of almost 30 years to the current owner. Pic of 3186 below driven by the long-term previous owner, and yours truly in our SV 4968. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mr Sackey the blue one in the second picture looks gorgeous! Do you have the s/n? Thank you in advance.
