It doesn't, but that's how it is. I work in mpg, the other one was 16/27 mpg. But that was after a lot of tweaking with jets/exhaust/timing. This one is 12/23. Ignition is timed correctly, but the jetting/exhaust set up needs to be looked at, along with the camshaft timing. Not to mention the fuel leak lol.
If I was going to have a dedicated modern car for runs like the GG,GAD,HB and the FDGR, I'd buy a BMW 1M, not as fast as a RS3 or an A45 ,but far more involving for the driver ,and a future classic which was built in low production #s Image Unavailable, Please Login

With my outstanding knowledge of V8 Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars pre fuel injection. I had an issue yesterday in the T series , a whishing noise from the engine area.The weather was 36c plus and I was testing out the water temp on idle., so see when the thermostat kicked in. Popped the bonnet and notice fine fuel weep from the union that runs fuel to the float chamber. Tighten it up all good .
